Quality of nursing care and its relation with the patient satisfaction in the emergency area of a hospital of Lima 2024

Abstract

The present research, titled "Quality of Nursing Care and Its Relationship with Patient Satisfaction in a Hospital in Lima – 2024," aimed to determine the relationship between the quality of nursing care and patient satisfaction in the Emergency Area. The methodology used was quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, with a correlational level of analysis. For the sample calculation, the simple random non-probabilistic method was applied, resulting in a sample size of 78. Two questionnaires were used: one with 20 items to evaluate the variable "quality of care" and another with 10 items to measure the variable "patient satisfaction." After hypothesis testing, the correlation coefficient between the variables "strategic direction" and "job performance" was found to be 0.762, indicating a moderate positive correlation. Additionally, the bilateral significance value was 0.000, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. It was concluded that the quality of care is related to patient satisfaction.

Con la presente investigación titulada Calidad de atención de Enfermería y su relación con la Satisfacción de Pacientes en un hospital de Lima – 2024 , tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre Calidad de atención de Enfermería y su relación con la Satisfacción de Pacientes en el Área de Emergencia ; la metodología utilizada fue cuantitativo, no experimental de corte transversal, de enfoque cuantitativo y nivel correlacional; para el cálculo de la muestra se aplicó el método no probabilístico aleatorio simple donde resultó 78 como muestra; se aplicó 2 cuestionarios uno de 20 ítems para la variable calidad de atención y 10 ítems para la variable satisfacción del paciente. Luego de aplicado la contrastación de hipótesis se obtuvo que el coeficiente de correlación entre las variables dirección estratégica y desempeño laboral fue de 0.762, por lo cual hay una correlación positiva moderada; además el valor de la significancia bilateral es de 0.000, por lo cual rechazamos la hipótesis nula y concluimos que la calidad de atención se relaciona con la satisfacción del paciente.
