Level of knowledge and practice of biosecurity measures against Covid-19 in the nursing staff of the emergency area of ​​a private clinic in the Pueblo Libre district February to May 2022

Abstract

Adequate knowledge and practice of personal protective equipment in nursing staff are activities that must be mastered and handled perfectly since during the current COVID19 pandemic, these biosafety measures would not only protect the patient but also the user. The objective of this research will be to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of biosafety measures against COVID-19 in the nursing staff of the emergency area of a clinical center in the Pueblo Libre district from February to May 2022. The study with a quantitative approach, correlational type, non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The technique used will be a survey and the instrument will be the questionnaire, which will be comprised of 24 questions to measure the respective variables, the population will be made up of 50 nursing professionals. The results will be evaluated using descriptive statistics to show if there is a significant relationship between the variable level of knowledge and practice of biosafety measures against COVID-19 in the nursing staff of the emergency area of a private clinic in the Pueblo Libre district from February to May 2022.

El conocimiento y practica adecuados de los equipos de protección personal en el personal de enfermería, son actividades que se deben dominar y manejar a la perfección ya que durante la actual pandemia por COVID19, estas medidas de bioseguridad no solo protegerían al paciente sino también al usuario. El objetivo de la presente investigación será determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la práctica de medidas de bioseguridad frente a COVID-19 en el personal de enfermería del área de emergencia de un centro clínico del distrito de Pueblo libre febrero a mayo 2022. El estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, tipo correlacional, diseño no experimental y de corte transversal. la técnica utilizada será una encuesta y el instrumento será el cuestionario, el cual estará comprendido en 24 preguntas para la medición de las respectivas variables, la población estará constituida por 50 Enfermería. Los resultados se evaluarán mediante estadística descriptiva para evidenciar si existe relación significativa entre la variable nivel de conocimiento y practica de medidas de bioseguridad frente a COVID-19 en el personal de enfermería del área de emergencia de una clínica privada del distrito de pueblo libre febrero a mayo 2022.
