Workload and the performance of the skills of the nursing professional in the emergency area of the Huacho hospital. Lima, 2023

Abstract

This research aims to: “Determine the relationship between workload and the performance of the nursing professional's skills.” The population will consist of "40 nurses" who work in the emergency service of the "Huacho Regional Hospital", the sample being the total population. Methodological Design: Quantitative approach, descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational type. Instruments: 2 Likert Scale type instruments will be applied, prior to the acceptance of informed consent. The first instrument will evaluate the “workload” variable, a questionnaire adapted by “Campana Añasco de Mejía Teresa” in 2020. This instrument is significant and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.84). The second instrument will evaluate the variable “nursing staff competencies”, a questionnaire adapted by “Cesar Ubaldo Vega” in 2021. This instrument is significant and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.83). The data collection technique will be the survey. Statistical processing and data analysis: it will be represented by percentages, through tables and graphs. In addition, the Spearman statistical test will be used, with a 95% confidence level, being described in the contingency table.

Esta investigación tiene como Objetivo: “Determinar la relación entre carga laboral y el desempeño de las competencias del profesional de enfermería”. La población estará constituida por “40 enfermeras” que laboran en el servicio de emergencias del “Hospital Regional de Huacho”, siendo la muestra el total de la población. Diseño Metodológico: Enfoque cuantitativo, tipo descriptivo, de corte transversal y correlacional. Instrumentos: Se aplicarán 2 Instrumentos tipo Escala Likert, previo a la aceptación del consentimiento informado. El primer instrumento evaluara la variable “carga laboral”, cuestionario adaptado por “Campana Añasco de Mejía Teresa” en el 2020. Dicho instrumento es significativo y la confiable (Alfa de Cronbach= 0.84). el segundo instrumento evaluara la variable “competencias del personal de enfermería”, cuestionario adaptado por “Cesar Ubaldo Vega” en el 2021. Dicho instrumento cuenta es significativo y la confiable (Alfa de Cronbach= 0.83). La técnica de recolección de datos será la encuesta. Procesamiento estadístico y análisis de datos: será representado mediante porcentajes, mediante tablas y gráficos. Además, se utilizará la prueba estadística Spearman, con nivel de confianza 95%, siendo descrito en la tabla de contingencia
