Social skills in the practice of Manchester triage in nurses from the emergency service of a public hospital in Lima, 2022

Abstract

Objective: Determine the relationship between social skills and the practice of Manchester triage in nurses in the emergency service of a public hospital in Lima. Methodology: The type of research will be applied, the proposed approach will correspond to the quantitative, and the determined design will be observational, correlational, and cross-sectional. Population and Sample: The population addressed corresponds to 110 nurses with a representative sample of 86 nurses from the emergency service. The corresponding instruments will be applied to said sample in the period from November to December 2022. Technique and Instruments: The technique to be administered will be the survey and observation; The instruments to be applied correspond to the Social Skills Scale (EHS) and the Triage Practice Observation Guide, which have a reliability of Cronbach's Alpha and Kuder Richardson KR20 equivalent to 0.869 and 0.86 respectively. Data processing and analysis: The data will be recorded in an Excel template for classification and control, being processed, and the existing relationship between the variables treated in the research will be established, through the Chi Square statistical test by counting the study with qualitative variables.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre las habilidades sociales y la práctica del triaje Manchester en enfermeros del servicio de emergencia de un hospital público en Lima. Metodología: El tipo de investigación será la aplicada, el enfoque propuesto corresponderá al cuantitativo, y el diseño determinado será observacional, de nivel correlacional, y de corte transversal. Población y Muestra: La población abordada corresponde a 110 enfermeros con una muestra representativa de 86 enfermeros del servicio de emergencias. A dicha muestra se le aplicará los instrumentos correspondientes en periodo comprendido de noviembre a diciembre del 2022. Técnica e Instrumentos: La técnica a administrarse serán la encuesta y la observación; instrumentos a aplicar corresponden a la Escala de Habilidades Sociales (EHS) y la Guía de Observación de Practica de Triaje, los mismos que cuentan con una confiabilidad de Alfa de Cronbach y Kuder Richardson KR20 equivalente a 0,869 y 0,86 respectivamente. Procesamiento y análisis de datos: La data será consignada en una plantilla Excel para su clasificación y control, siendo procesada, y se establecerá la relación existente entre las variables tratadas en la investigación, por medio de la prueba de estadística de Chi Cuadrado por contar el estudio con variables cualitativas.
