Sociocultural factors and level of knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding in mothers with a minor infant in the pediatric service at a Hospital in Barranca, 2023

Abstract

Introduction: Exclusive breastfeeding is one of the fundamental foods for the growth and development of a child, but everything will depend on its continuity and prolongation to ensure the contribution of its benefits.

The objective: To determine how sociocultural factors are related to the level of knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding in mothers with infants under age in the pediatric service. Methodology: The study used a hypothetical deductive method, with a quantitative approach, of a type applied with a non-experimental design and with a correlational level. The sample constituted by 100 mothers of minor infants, For data collection, the interview technique and the instrument will be used, a questionnaire for both variables. The study used the Reynoso and Hermosa instrument to measure sociocultural factors and the Avendaño and Medrano instrument to measure knowledge. For the statistical analysis, the statistical program SPSS version 25 will be used, which will allow showing descriptive results through the presentation of tables and graphs and the inferential analysis for the verification of the hypothesis, first it will be analyzed by the Normality test to determine the coefficient of correlation.

La lactancia materna exclusiva es uno de los alimentos fundamentales para el crecimiento y desarrollo un niño, pero todo dependerá de su continuidad y prolongamiento para asegurar el aporte de sus beneficios. El estudio uso un método hipotético deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, de un tipo aplicada con un diseño no experimental y con un nivel correlacional. La muestra constituida por 100 madres de lactantes menor, Para la recolección de datos se usará la técnica de la entrevista y el instrumento un cuestionario para ambas variables. El estudio uso el instrumento de Reynoso y Hermosa para medir los factores socioculturales y para medir el conocimiento el de Avendaño y Medrano. Para el análisis estadístico se empleará el programa estadístico SPSS versión 25, el cual permitirán mostrar resultados descriptivos a través de presentación de tablas y gráficos y el análisis inferencial para la comprobación de la hipótesis, primero será analizado por la prueba de Normalidad para determinar el coeficiente de correlación
