Participation of mothers in the safety of percutaneous catheter care in a hospital in Lima

Abstract

This study has a descriptive cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. The population will consist of 40 mothers of children hospitalized during the months of January to March 2020 in the pediatric surgery unit at the San Bartolomé Maternal and Child Hospital. The sample will be made up of 15 mothers who will be a symbolic part of the research population and will be carried out under simple probabilistic sampling. In this research, the main variable is knowledge, which is qualitative and ordinal.

Este estudio posee un diseño descriptivo de corte transversal con enfoque cuantitativo. La población estará constituida por 40 madres de los niños internados durante los meses de enero a marzo del año 2020 en la unidad de cirugía pediátrica en el Hospital Materno Infantil San Bartolomé. La muestra lo conformará 15 madres que será una parte simbólica de la población en investigación y se ejecutará bajo un muestreo probabilístico simple. En esta investigación la principal variable es conocimiento, la cual es cualitativa y ordinal.
