Safety culture and quality of care management in nurses of the medicine ward B of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital, Lima - 2023

Abstract

Introduction: To foster a culture of patient safety, it is necessary that all members of the health care team have a strong commitment to safety and are willing to learn from mistakes and continuously improve. Objective: "to determine the relationship between patient safety culture and quality of care management in nurses of the medicine ward B of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen national hospital, Lima - 2023". Methodology: the research will be approached with the hypothetical deductive method, applied, quantitative, cross-sectional, from a nonexperimental and correlational design, in a census sample of 120, surveys will be conducted with self-applied instruments which are validated questionnaires that measure the phenomena in question. The results will be obtained through descriptive analysis according to the score achieved for the safety culture variable will be good, regular and bad for the quality-of-care management variable the values good, regular, poor. Hypothesis testing is carried out using the Rho Spearman test. The conclusions will provide an answer to the objectives set.

Introducción: Para fomentar una cultura de seguridad del paciente, es necesario que todos los miembros del equipo de atención biomédica tengan un compromiso firme con la seguridad y estén dispuestos a aprender de los errores y mejorar continuamente. Objetivo: “determinar qué relación existe entre la cultura de seguridad del paciente y la gestión de la calidad del cuidado en las enfermeras del pabellón B de medicina del hospital nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen, Lima – 2023”. Metodología: la pesquisa se abordará con el método hipotético deductivo, aplicado, cuantitativo, transversal, desde un diseño no experimental y correlacional, en muestra censal de 120 de enfermeras, se realizarán encuestas con instrumentos de auto aplicación que son cuestionarios validados que miden los fenómenos en cuestión. Los resultados serán obtenidos a través de análisis descriptivo según el puntaje alcanzado para la variable cultura de seguridad será buena, regular y mala para la variable gestión de la calidad del cuidado los valores bueno, regular, deficiente. La prueba de hipótesis se ejecutará mediante el Rho de Spearman. Las conclusiones ofrecerán una respuesta a los objetivos plasmado
