Family support and quality of life of the elderly in a hospital in Lima 2024

Abstract

Family members are the fundamental support in a patient's recovery. However, they can also cause stress in the patient. As a patient's family member, your main objective will be to address and flow communication between the other members of the family. Likewise, quality of life according to the World Health Organization encompasses the social, psychological, physical, self-perception of life and mental well-being of an individual. Method: The study will be cross-sectional, likewise, the research is hypothetical deductive, quantitative. Instruments: The survey will be used as a technique in this study and two questionnaires as an instrument in order to find the relationship between the variable’s quality of life of the elderly and family support, both instruments were previously validated by health experts.

Los familiares son el apoyo fundamental en la recuperación de un paciente. Sin embargo, también pueden ser los causantes del estrés en el paciente. Como familiar de un paciente su objetivo principal será abordar y fluir la comunicación entre los demás integrantes de la familia. Asimismo, la calidad de vida según la Organización Mundial de la Salud abarca el bienestar social, psicológico, físico, autopercepción de la vida y mental de un individuo. Método: El estudio será de corte transversal, asimismo, la investigación es hipotética deductiva, de tipo cuantitativa. Instrumentos: Se usará la encuesta como técnica en el presente estudio y dos cuestionarios como instrumento a fin de buscar la relación entre las variables calidad de vida del adulto mayor y apoyo familiar, ambos instrumentos fueron validados previamente por expertos de salud.
