Sociodemographic factors and their relationship with the level of knowledge about dengue in the inhabitants of sector 4 of Tiahuanaco, Zarate Lurigancho Lima 2022

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between sociodemographic factors and the level of knowledge about dengue in the residents of sector 4 of Tiahuanaco, Zarate Lurigancho Lima 2022. Material and methods: The methodological approach used was quantitative, non-experimental design, basic type, descriptive cross-sectional; with a population of 883 and a sample of 268 residents of zone 4 of Tiahuanaco. As a result, it was found that no sociodemographic factor directly affects the level of knowledge about Dengue, due to the p value found in each of them, being greater than the level of significance (0.05), thus, the general null hypothesis is accepted, concluding that there is no relationship between sociodemographic factors and the level of knowledge about Dengue in the residents of sector 4 of Tiahuanaco, Zarate 2022. Finally, it is concluded that there is a need to investigate any other factor that could be related to the level of knowledge about Dengue in the study area.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación de los factores sociodemográficos y el nivel de conocimiento sobre dengue en los pobladores del sector 4 de Tiahuanaco, Zarate Lurigancho Lima 2022. Material y métodos: El enfoque metodológico utilizado fue cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, tipo básica, descriptivo transversal; con una población de 883 y una muestra 268 pobladores de la zona 4 de Tiahuanaco. Como resultado se halló que, ningún factor sociodemográfico afecta directamente al nivel de conocimiento sobre el Dengue, debido al p valor hallado en cada uno de ellos, siendo mayor que el nivel de significancia (0.05), es así que, se acepta la hipótesis nula general, concluyéndose que, no existe relación entre los factores sociodemográficos y nivel de conocimiento sobre Dengue en los pobladores del sector 4 de Tiahuanaco, Zarate 2022. Finalmente se concluye que, existe necesidad de indagar por algún otro factor que pudiera estar relacionado al nivel de conocimiento sobre Dengue en la zona de estudio.
