Ergonomic risk factors and musculoskeletal disorder of the nursing staff of the intensive care unit of a clinic in Lima – 2024

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between ergonomic risk factors and musculoskeletal disorders in the nursing staff of the intensive care unit of a clinic in Lima in the year 2024. Methodology: The research will be quantitative and will use the hypothetical-deductive method, the type of research will be applied, the design will be non-experimental, the cut will be transversal and the level will be correlational. Regarding the population, 70 people will be considered, including nurses and technical personnel of the intensive care unit of a clinic in Lima, Peru. The technique to be used will be the survey and the instrument will be the questionnaire. The instruments were previously validated and are questionnaires that will measure the variables, namely: the ergonomic risk factors questionnaire that has a reliability coefficient of 0.957 Cronbach's Alpha and the questionnaire on musculoskeletal disorders that has a coefficient of 0.981 Cronbach's Alpha; the results are tabulated and the necessary statistics are generated and interpreted using tables and graphs as appropriate. Finally, the degree of relationship between both variables is evaluated using the Spearman coefficient according to the specified objective.

Determinar cuál es la relación entre los factores de riesgos ergonómicos y trastornos musculo esqueléticos del personal de enfermería de la unidad de cuidados intensivos de una clínica de Lima en el año 2024. Metodología: La investigación será cuantitativa y empleará el método hipotético-deductivo, el tipo de investigación será aplicada, el diseño será no experimental, el corte será transversal y el nivel será correlacional. En cuanto a la población, se tomará en cuenta a 70 personas que forman parte del personal de salud entre enfermeras y personal técnico de la unidad de cuidados intensivos de una clínica de Lima, Perú. Con respecto a la técnica a utilizar será la encuesta y en cuanto al instrumento se empleará el cuestionario. Los instrumentos fueron previamente validados y son cuestionarios que medirán las variables, a saber: el cuestionario factores de riesgo ergonómico que cuenta con un coeficiente de confiabilidad de 0,957 de Alpha de Cronbach y el cuestionario sobre trastornos músculo esquelético que cuenta con un coeficiente de 0,981 de Alpha de Cronbach; los resultados se tabulan y las estadísticas necesarias se generan e interpretan utilizando tablas y gráficos según corresponda. Finalmente, se evalúa el grado de relación entre ambas variables mediante el coeficiente de Spearman según el objetivo especificado.
