Level of knowledge and its relationship with biosecurity measures practices among healthcare staff at the National Institute of Child Health San Borja, Lima - 2022

Abstract

Safety and health in health care workers is the main objective of every specialist in Occupational Health, within daily work there is the risk of suffering from work accidents and occupational diseases, in this sense it is about knowing the current reality of the health workers in terms of the knowledge they have about Biosafety related to Practices in daily hospital work. Due to this interest, this Research Project has been developed. OBJECTIVE: Determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and the practices of biosafety measures of health personnel who work in the Burns ICU and Neurosurgical Hospitalization units of the National Institute of Children's Health San Borja 2022. TYPE OF STUDY: The type of research is applied, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental, transversal and with a correlational design. METHODS: The survey will be used as a data collection technique to measure knowledge and observation to evaluate the practices of biosafety measures, the respective instruments will be the questionnaire and the observation sheet.

La seguridad y salud en los trabajadores asistenciales de la salud es el objetivo principal de todo especialista en Salud Ocupacional, dentro del quehacer diario existe el riesgo de padecer accidentes de trabajo y enfermedades ocupacionales, en tal sentido se trata de conocer la realidad actual de los trabajadores en salud en cuanto al conocimiento que tienen sobre Bioseguridad relacionada a las Prácticas en el quehacer diario hospitalario. Por dicho interés se ha desarrollado el presente Proyecto de Investigación. OBJETIVO: Determinar la relación que existe entre nivel de conocimiento y las prácticas de medidas de bioseguridad del personal de salud que labora en las unidades Uci Quemados y Hospitalización Neuroquirúrgica del Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño San Borja 2022. TIPO DE ESTUDIO: El tipo de investigación es aplicada, de enfoque cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal y con un diseño correlacional. MÉTODOS: Se usará la encuesta como técnica de recolección datos para medir conocimiento y la observación para evaluar las prácticas de medidas de bioseguridad, los instrumentos respectivos serán el cuestionario y la ficha de observación.
