Resumen
Introduction: Nurses in emergency units are exposed to a number of stressors, such as high workload, making quick decisions in critical situations, exposure to death and suffering, and contact with aggressive patients. A healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition, regular exercise, sufficient sleep, and effective time management, can help nurses cope with work stress more effectively. The objective of this study "To determine how work stress is related to lifestyle in nurses of the emergency unit of Lima Este de Vitarte hospital, Lima Este de Vitarte, 2024". Methodology: The study is developed with the hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational approach. The population of analysis will be constituted by a sample of 79 nursing professionals working in the emergency unit of the Lima Este de Vitarte hospital, 2024. Two instruments will be used, the "Maslach Burnout Inventory" questionnaire to evaluate work stress and the "Health Promoting Lifestyle II (PEPSI II)" questionnaire to evaluate the lifestyle of nursing personnel. The data collected will be analyzed using SPSS version 26 statistical software and will be subjected to descriptive and inferential statistical tests such as Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient to determine the relationship between the variables.
