Knowledge about preventive measures for pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation and its relationship with nursing care in the icu of a national hospital of Lima, 2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge about preventive measures for ventilator-associated pneumonia and nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit of a National Hospital in Lima, 2021. Methodology: The method will be hypothetical-deductive, the population will be made up of 40 licensed nurses. To collect information on the variable: Knowledge about preventive measures for ventilator-associated pneumonia, the survey technique and the instrument a questionnaire will be applied, consisting of 13 items grouped into 6 dimensions. To collect information on the variable: Nursing care for ventilator-associated pneumonia, the survey technique will be applied and the instrument an observation guide, containing 34 items grouped into 8 dimensions. The data will be collected in the Intensive Care Unit of a National Hospital in Lima, during a period of one month, once the information is collected, the data will be processed in the SPSS V26 statistical program. Frequency tables, charts and/or graphs will be obtained; in addition, the hypotheses will be contrasted with the Spearman Rho Correlation Statistical Test, having a significance level of p < 0.05.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento sobre medidas preventivas de la neumonía asociada a ventilación mecánica y los cuidados de enfermería en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de un Hospital Nacional de Lima, 2021 Metodología: El método será hipotético–deductivo, la población será conformada por 40 licenciados enfermeros. Para la recolección de información de la variable: Conocimiento sobre medidas preventivas de la neumonía asociada a ventilación mecánica se aplicará la técnica de la encuesta y el instrumento un cuestionario, consta de 13 ítems agrupadas en 6 dimensiones. Para la recolección de la información de la variable: Cuidados de enfermería de la neumonía asociada a ventilación mecánica se aplicará la técnica de la encuesta y el instrumento una guía de observación, contiene 34 ítems agrupadas en 8 dimensiones.: Los datos serán recolectados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de un Hospital Nacional de Lima, durante el periodo de un mes, una vez recolectada la información, los datos serán procesados en el programa estadístico SPSS V26. Se obtendrán tablas de frecuencia, tablas y/o gráficos; además, las hipótesis serán contrastadas con la Prueba Estadística de Correlación Rho de Spearman, teniendo un nivel de significancia de p < 0.05.
