Job stress and coping strategies in the nursing staff of the intensive care unit of a Minsa hospital - 2024

Abstract

For the development of the research, the objective is considered: Identify how the physical environment dimension is related to coping strategies in the nursing staff of the intensive care unit of a Minsa-2024 hospital. Methodological design: quantitative approach. Hypothetical-deductive and transversal method. Considering a correlational design. Population: 50 People who work in a Minsa-Lima hospital. Instruments: For the variable, Stress; The “Nursing stress scale” will be used. Its objective is to evaluate the work stress of the nursing staff; having a total of 34 items structured according to their dimensions: Physical environment, psychological environment and social environment. Likewise, for the coping measures variable, the Coping Response Inventory will be used. Which aims to evaluate coping strategies in nurses; having a total of 48 items structured according to their dimensions: Coping strategies directed at the problem, coping strategies directed at emotion. Data processing and analysis: Appropriate data processing will be applied with the use of Excel office software numerically and through IBM SPSS 25.0.

Objetivo: Identificar cómo se relaciona la dimensión ambiente físico con las estrategias de afrontamiento en el personal de enfermería de la unidad de cuidados intensivos de un hospital del Minsa-2024 Diseño metodológico: enfoque cuantitativo. Método hipotético-deductivo y transversal. Considerando un diseño correlacional. Población: 50 Personas que laboran en un hospital del Minsa- Lima. Instrumentos: Para la variable, El Estrés; se utilizara la Escala “Nursing stress scale”. Tiene por objetivo evaluar el estrés laboral del personal de la enfermera; teniendo un total de 34 ítems estructurados en función de sus dimensiones: Ambiente físico, ambiente psicológico y ambiente social. Asimismo, Para la variable medidas de afrontamiento se utilizara el Inventario de respuestas de afrontamiento. Que tiene por objetivo evaluar las estrategias de afrontamiento en las enfermeras; teniendo un total de 48 ítems estructurados en función de sus dimensiones: Estrategias de afrontamiento dirigido al problema, estrategias de afrontamiento dirigido a la emoción. Procesamiento y análisis de datos: Se aplicará el debido procesamiento de datos con el uso del software office Excel de manera numérica y mediante IBM SPSS 25.0.
