Level of knowledge and practices about exclusive breastfeeding in mothers of infants under six months of the Mirones Health Center, Lima-2023

Abstract

For the development of this study, the general objective has been to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practices on exclusive breastfeeding in mothers of infants under six months of age at the Mirones health center, Lima - 2023; for which a hypothetical deductive method has been used, with a quantitative approach, a correlational level and a non-experimental design. In the case of the population, it was made up of 80 mothers of infants under six months, with the same amount being the sample. Among the main results, it was possible to verify a significance of less than .05; as well as a coefficient of .821, which allowed us to conclude that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and practices about exclusive breastfeeding in mothers of infants under six months of age at the Mirones health center, Lima - 2023.

objetivo general, determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y prácticas sobre la lactancia materna exclusiva en madres de lactantes menores de seis meses del centro de salud Mirones, Lima – 2023; para lo cual se ha utilizado un método hipotético deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, un nivel correlacional y un diseño no experimental. En el caso de la población, la misma se conformó 80 madres de lactantes menores de seis meses, siendo la muestra de la misma cantidad. Dentro de los principales resultados se logró verificar una significancia menor a .05; así como también un coeficiente de ,821, lo que permitió concluir que existe una relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y prácticas sobre la lactancia materna exclusiva en madres de lactantes menores de seis meses del centro de salud Mirones, Lima – 2023.
