Level of knowledge of cervical cancer and self-care practices in ambulatory clinic users, Instituto Nacional of Enfermedades Neoplasicas, 2023.

Abstract

Introduction: Cervical cancer is a public health problem, a hidden adversary that does not differentiate social strata and its bad effects are more devastating for the health of females, as a preventive measure many strategies are used, the Papanicolaou test as diagnosis and vaccination as a preventive measure HPV (Human Papilloma Virus). Objective: "To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about cervical cancer and selfcare practices in users between the ages outpatient clinics." Methods: the study will be hypothetical-deductive, in turn quantitative, on the other hand, correlational and crosssectional. A total of 90 patients with cervical cancer who attend the outpatient clinics of the "National Neoplastic Institute" will be made up as a sample, the data will be collected using the survey with a Likert-type questionnaire, the instruments for both variables are validated and reliable with points of 0.8 and 0.78 through statistical tests of Cronbach's alpha. The data obtained will be processed using statistical means of SPSS 28, and the hypotheses will be tested using the inferential statistics for unparameterized data "Spearman's Rho" in order to reach a conclusion.

Objetivo: “Determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre el cáncer de cuello uterino y las prácticas de autocuidado en las usuarias de los consultorios externos”. Métodos: estudio será de tipo hipotético deductivo, a su vez cuantitativo, por otro lado, correlacional y trasversal. Estará conformada como muestra un total de 90 con cáncer de cuello uterino que concurren a los consultorios externos del “Instituto Nacional Neoplásicas”, los datos se recopilarán empleando la encuesta con cuestionario de tipo Likert, los instrumentos para ambos variables están validados y son confiables con puntos de 0.8 y 0.78 a través de pruebas estadísticas de alfa de Crombach. Los datos obtenidos serán procesados empleando medios estadísticos de SPSS 28, y las hipótesis se probarán empleando la estadística inferencial para datos no parametrados “Rho de Spearman” para así poder tener una conclusión
