Risk factors related to sports injuries in patients of the Cerfineuro rehabilitation center, 2023

Abstract

A quantitative, non-experimental approach was used with a sample of 115 patients meeting the selection criteria: ages between 25 and 35 years and who have engaged in sports within the last 12 months. Results showed that 26.09% and 24.35% reported risk factors with frequencies of “sometimes” and “almost never,” respectively, while 18.26% reported “almost always” risk factors. 16.52% presented risk factors with a frequency of “always,” and 14.78% never experienced risk factors. With a significance level of 5% and 8 degrees of freedom, the chi-square value was 9.899; the results indicated that most injuries required 8 to 15 days of recovery, with the highest percentage of injuries occurring in the hands or fingers. We can conclude that the frequency of risk factors and sports injuries are independent and unrelated, as are the risk factors and types of sports injuries, as well as the injury recovery time.

Se empleo el enfoque Cuantitativo, no experimental, una muestra de 115 pacientes cumpliendo los criterios de selección como edad entre 25 y 35 años y que realicen deporte en los últimos 12 meses. Los resultados fueron que el 26.09% y el 24.35% presentan factores de riesgos con una frecuencia de “A veces” y “Casi nunca” respectivamente, el 18.26% presenta factores de riesgo “Casi siempre”. El 16.52% presenta factores de riesgos con una frecuencia de “Siempre”, el 14.78% nunca presenta factores de riesgo, Con un nivel de significancia de 5% con 8 grados de libertad, según el análisis realizado, se obtuvo un valor de chi cuadrado de 9.899; en los resultados la mayoría de lesiones requieren de 8 a 15 días de recuperación siendo un porcentaje mayor de la muestra, se muestran que la mayoría de las lesiones se dan en manos o dedos, podemos afirmar que la variable frecuencia de factores de riesgo y lesiones deportivas son independientes y no se relacionan entre sí, así como también los factores de riesgo y los tipos de lesiones deportivas son independientes y lo mismo ocurre con el tiempo de lesión deportiva.
