Gluteus medius muscle strength and perception of pain in patients with low back pain from a physiotherapy center in the city of Ica, 2022

Abstract

Due to the high incidence of patients attending consultations for lower back pain, which often radiates to the gluteal area, this research aims to determine if there is a relationship between low back pain and pain perception in patients with this condition, in order to obtain objective results to consider during the evaluation of patients diagnosed with low back pain. To obtain results, the Trendelenburg test will be applied, muscle strength will be measured with a mechanical dynamometer, and the Oswestry questionnaire and Visual Analog Scale will be used. This study will be hypothetical-deductive, with a quantitative, applied, correlational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design.

Debido a la alta incidencia de pacientes que acuden a consulta por dolor lumbar, además que en muchos casos se irradia hacia la zona glútea. Mediante la presente investigación se busca determinar si existe relación entre la lumbalgia y la percepción del dolor en pacientes con lumbalgia, y así poder obtener resultados objetivos a tener en cuenta durante la evaluación de los pacientes diagnosticados con lumbalgia. Para obtener los resultados se aplicará el test de Trendelenburg, se medirá la fuerza muscular con un dinamómetro mecánico, además el cuestionario de Oswestry y la Escala Visual Analógica. La presente investigación será hipotético deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, aplicada, correlacional, no experimental, de corte transversal, correlacional.
