Resumen
The objective of the study was "to determine how emotional competencies are related to coping with stress in nursing students of the eighth and ninth cycle of the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2023". The methods used are a quantitative approach, an applied type, a hypothetical-deductive method, a non-experimental design, and a correlational-descriptive scope. The sample consisted of 103 nursing students in the eighth and ninth cycle of the Norbert Wiener University. For data collection, the Emotional Competence Questionnaire was used to measure Emotional Competences and the SISCO inventory for Stress Coping. The results obtained are the Rho Spearman value of 0.710 and the bilateral significance of 0.000; indicating the agreement of the researcher's hypothesis. It was concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between emotional competencies and coping with stress in eighth and ninth cycle nursing students at the Norbert Wiener University, Lima, 2023.
Resumen
El objetivo del estudio fue “determinar cómo las competencias emocionales se relacionan con el afrontamiento del estrés en los estudiantes de enfermería del octavo y noveno ciclo de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima 2023”. Los métodos utilizados son enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicado, método hipotético-deductivo, diseño no experimental y alcance correlacional - descriptivo La muestra estuvo compuesta por 103 estudiantes de enfermería de octavo y noveno ciclo de la Universidad Norbert Wiener. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó el Cuestionario de Competencias Emocionales para medir Competencias Emocionales y el inventario SISCO para Afrontamiento de Estrés. Los resultados obtenidos son el valor de Rho Spearman de 0,710 y la significancia bilateral de 0,000; lo que indica la concordancia de la hipótesis del investigador. Se concluyó que existe una relación estadísticamente significativa entre competencias emocionales y afrontamiento de estrés en los estudiantes de enfermería de octavo y noveno ciclo de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima, 2023.
