Sociodemographic factors and their relationship with adherence to the vaccination schedule in mothers of children under 5 years of age from chapter III Luis Negreiros Vega, Callao 2021

Abstract

Aim. Establish the relationship between Sociodemographic factors and their relationship with adherence to the vaccination schedule in mothers of children under 5 years of age cared for at the Luis Negreiros Vega Primary Care Center. Materials and methods. The approach of this research corresponds to the quantitative one, and the design to be used will be the descriptive correlational one. The population will be made up of 100 mothers of children under 5 years old who are cared for at the Luis Negreiros Vega Primary Care Center III, located in the Constitutional Province of Callao, and the sample will consist of 80 mothers of children under 5 years old cared for in the aforementioned Center. The sampling will be simple random probabilistic sampling. The techniques will consist of the survey and observation, through which a questionnaire and a registration form will be administered, respectively, to the mothers of the selected sample. The questionnaire consists of two sections: a first section on general data about the child and the mother; and a second section with specific data regarding the content, which is made up of 24 items constructed with multiple response options, to which the mother will respond by choosing the one that she assumes is correct or in accordance with what she usually does. The rating of each item varies from 0 to 2 points. Regarding validity by expert judgment, the results showed that the questionnaire has content validity. Concerning reliability, the results obtained indicate that Cronbach's alpha is equivalent to 0.765, a value that means that the instrument presents an acceptable level of internal consistency and, therefore, is reliable for administration to the study sample.

Objetivo. Establecer la relación entre los factores Sociodemográficos y su relación con la adherencia al esquema de vacunación en madres de niños menores de 5 años atendidos en el Centro de Atención Primaria Luis Negreiros Vega. Materiales y métodos. El enfoque de la presente investigación corresponde al cuantitativo, y el diseño a emplearse será el descriptivo correlacional. La población estará conformada por 100 madres de niños menores de 5 años que son atendidos en el Centro de Atención Primaria III Luis Negreiros Vega, ubicado en la Provincia Constitucional del Callao, y la muestra constará de 80 madres de niños menores de 5 años atendidos en el mencionado Centro. El muestreo será el probabilístico de tipo aleatorio simple. Las técnicas consistirán en la encuesta y la observación, mediante las cuales se administrarán, respectivamente, un cuestionario y una ficha de registro a las madres de la muestra seleccionada. El cuestionario consta de dos secciones: una primera sección sobre datos generales del niño y de la madre; y una segunda sección con los datos específicos referentes al contenido, el cual está constituido por 24 ítems construidos con opciones de respuesta múltiple, a los que la madre responderá eligiendo la que asuma como correcta o acorde a lo que acostumbra realizar. La calificación de cada ítem varía de 0 a 2 puntos. Respecto a la validez por juicio de expertos, los resultados evidenciaron que el cuestionario presenta validez de contenido. Concerniente a la fiabilidad, los resultados obtenidos indican que el alfa de Cronbach equivale a 0.765, valor que significa que el instrumento presenta un nivel aceptable de consistencia interna y, por lo tanto, es confiable para su administración a la muestra de estudio.
