Level of knowledge about oxygen therapy and the practice of the nursing professional of the emergency service from a private clinic, 2023

Abstract

Health professionals must be familiar with the oxygen administration routes, as well as with the physiological effects of oxygen administration as a fundamental part of patient care, as a study objective we have to determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge about oxygen therapy and the practice of the nursing professional of the emergency service of a private clinic, year 2023, for this, quantitative, descriptive, correlational research was carried out, applied to the study population of this research, it covers all licensed professionals in nursing who work in the emergency service of a private clinic in the year 2023, a questionnaire was applied to them. This instrument has two parts, in the first, it presents a questionnaire (cheklist) to measure the level of knowledge of nurses about oxygen therapy. Instrument 1: Questions 1 to 11 refer to the level of knowledge about oxygen therapy devices. Questions 12 to 17 are focused on the level of knowledge about the parameters in oxygen therapy. Questions 18 to 22 refer to the level of knowledge about techniques and procedures in oxygen therapy. Instrument 2: The technique used to measure the second variable The practice was the questionnaire (cheklist) consisting of the systematic, valid and reliable record of behaviors and observable situations, which has 23 items. Items 1, 2, 3, 4,5 6,7,8,9, are directed towards nursing assessment, and items 10,11,12,13,14, 15,16,17,18 focus on the nursing care.

Los profesionales de la salud deberán de estar familiarizados con las vías de administración de oxígeno, así como con los efectos fisiológicos de la administración de oxígeno como parte fundamental del cuidado del paciente, como objetivo de estudio tenemos que Determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre la oxigenoterapia y la práctica del profesional de enfermería del servicio de emergencia de una clínica privada, año 2023,para ello se realizó la investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva correlacional ,aplicada, a la población en estudio de esta investigación abarca todos los profesionales licenciados en enfermería que laboran en el servicio de emergencia de una clínica privada en el año 2023, se les aplico un cuestionario Este instrumento tiene dos partes, en la primera, presenta un cuestionario (cheklist) para medir el nivel de conocimientos de las enfermeras sobre oxigenoterapia. Instrumento 1: Las preguntas del 1 al 11 estas referidas al nivel de conocimiento sobre los dispositivos en la oxigenoterapia. Las preguntas del 12 al 17 están enfocadas a nivel de conocimiento sobre los parámetros en la oxigenoterapia. Las preguntas de la 18 a las 22 están referidas al nivel de conocimiento sobre Las técnicas y procedimientos en la oxigenoterapia. Instrumento 2: La técnica que se utilizara para medir la segunda variable La práctica, fue el cuestionario (cheklist) que consiste en el registro sistemático, valido y confiable de comportamientos y las situaciones observables, que tiene 23 Ítems. Los ítems 1, 2, 3, 4,5 6,7,8,9, se dirigen hacia valoración de enfermería, y los ítems 10,11,12,13,14, 15,16 ,17,18 se enfocan en los cuidados de enfermería
