Objective: To examine lifestyle and its incidence on academic stress among nursing interns at the Norbert Wiener University, Lima for the period 2023. Methodology: This research was a hypothetical-deductive method, applied with a quantitative approach, nonexperimental cross-sectional design. In order to fulfil the objective of the research, two questionnaires were used as instruments for the collection of information, one to measure lifestyle and the other to measure academic stress. Both questionnaires were applied to a sample of 148 nursing interns at Norbert Wiener University. Results: In the descriptive analysis it was determined that 45.95% of the respondents felt unhealthy biologically, 47.30% felt unhealthy socially, and half of the respondents felt unhealthy psychologically. On the other hand, 39.19% of the respondents had a severe level of stress. While in the inferential analysis it was found that lifestyle is indirectly and significantly (r = -0.589, p-value < 0.01) related to academic stress, also the biological factor is indirectly and significantly (r = -0. 532, p-value < 0.01) with academic stress, the social factor (r = -0.514, p-value < 0.01), as well as the psychological factor (r = - 0.576, p-value < 0.01). Conclusion: It was concluded that lifestyle and associated factors such as biological, social and psychological factors have a negative impact on academic stress in nursing interns at Norbert Wiener University, Lima for the period 2023.
Resumen
Objetivo: : Determinar la relación entre los estilos de vida y el estrés académicos en los internos de enfermería de una Universidad wienert . Materiales y métodos: Se empleó un estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicado, observacional, de nivel correlacional y transversal; en una muestra de 148 participantes. Resultados: Se evidencian que el 50 % de los participantes presentan estilos de vida nada saludables. Por otro lado, el 39.19% de los encuestados presentaron un nivel severo de estrés. Se determinó que existe relación entre la dimensión biología, social y psicológica, con el estrés académicos, donde el valor de fue de 0,001, respectivamente. Conclusiones: Se concluye determinando que existe una relación entre los estilos de vida y el estrés académicos en los internos de enfermería.
