Color stability of two resins used in the anterior sector against pigment solutions. In vitro study. Lima-Peru, 2021

Abstract

Resins are synthetic materials that help restore dental pieces, whether due to fractures or cavities, but over time they change color due to our eating habits. In this research, two types of resins were used: Tetric N Ceram (Ivoclar) and Filtek Z350 (3M), which were immersed in coffee and Coca-Cola for a period of 15 days. The results showed that the resins immersed in coffee underwent a greater color change compared to those immersed in Coca-Cola. It was found that both resins underwent almost the same amount of color change, with minimal differences between the two.

Las resinas son materiales sintéticos que nos ayudan a restaurar piezas dentarias ya sean por fracturas o caries, pero que con el tiempo estas cambian de color debido a nuestros hábitos alimenticios, en este trabajo de investigación se usó dos tipos de resina, la tetric N ceram (ivoclar) y la Filtek Z350 (3M), sumergidas en café y gaseosa coca cola por un periodo de 15 días, encontrandocomo resultado que las que fueron sumergidas en café tuvieron mayor cambio que las que fueron sumergidas en coca colaen cuanto que resina cambio más, se encontró que ambos sufrieron casi los mismos cambios, siendo la diferencia minima en ambas resinas.
