Level of knowledge and practice of nursing care in the prevention of pressure injuries

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and practice of Nursing care in the Prevention of Pressure injuries in patients hospitalized in the HNGAI Emergency Service, Lima 2022. Study Material and Method: quantitative approach, hypothetical method deductive, applied type, non-experimental design, cross section and correlational level. The population is 160 nursing graduates and the sample is 124 of the population. To measure the 2 variables, 2 instruments will be used: to measure Knowledge, Armas K. (2020), and to measure Practice of nursing care in the prevention of PU, Quispehuaman L, Mamani D, Quispe M. (2016). The reliability was determined through a pilot test with 20 interviewees, in the knowledge and practice of nursing care, a: Cronbach's alpha: 0.864 and 0.872 was obtained. Once the data collection is finished, the information will be emptied, the survey will be coded and entered into the SPS 26 program, to obtain the arithmetic mean, frequency, standard deviation. Finally, with the results obtained, the Stanones scale will be used to determine a low, medium or high level, and in practice to determine if it is adequate and inadequate. For the hypothesis, the Rho Sperman correlation coefficient will be applied and to contrast both hypotheses, cross tables will be applied to see the existing relationship in order to obtain the conclusions of the investigation.

Material y Método de Estudio: enfoque cuantitativo, método hipotético deductivo, tipo aplicado, diseño no experimental, corte transversal y nivel correlacional. La población es de 160 licenciadas de enfermería. Para medir las 2 variables se utilizará 2 instrumentos: para medir Conocimiento, Armas K. (2020), y para medir Práctica del cuidado en enfermería en la prevención de UPP, Quispehuaman L, Mamani D, Quispe M. (2016). La confiabilidad se determinó a través de una prueba piloto con 20 entrevistados, en el conocimiento y en la práctica del cuidado de enfermería, se obtuvo un: alfa de Cronbach: 0.864 y 0.872. Una vez terminada la recolección de datos, se procederá al vaciamiento de la información, la encuesta se codificará y se ingresará al programa SPS 26, para obtener la media aritmética, frecuencia, desviación estándar. Por último, con los resultados obtenidos se utilizará la escala de Stanones para determinar nivel bajo, medio o alto, y en la práctica para determinar si es adecuado e inadecuado. Para la hipótesis se aplicará el coeficiente de correlación de Rho Sperman y para contrastar ambas hipótesis se aplicarán tablas cruzadas para ver la relación existente para así obtener las conclusiones de la investigación.
