Coping and self-esteem strategy for women victims of violence who attend the specialized violence service of a mother-child center. Lima 2023

Abstract

The main objective of this study is determining how the coping strategy affects the self-esteem of women victims of violence who attend the specialized violence service of a Maternal and Child Center in Comas 2023. Material and Methods: The research is applied, with observational design, correlational and cross-sectional. Population: There will be 80 female victims of violence referred by the prosecutor's office for psychotherapeutic treatment who are treated in the specialized violence service of the Laura Rodríguez Maternal and Child Center. Surveys and two questionnaires will be used as reliable instruments and validated by two works carried out in Peru. The research of Mejía (2018), where the reliability of the Coping Strategies Inventory (CSI), had an internal consistency of Cronbach's Alpha = 0.886. In addition, Aguirre (2020) shows the validity results of the self-esteem scale with acceptable values with Cronbach's alpha = 0.728. The data obtained will be organized and scored with Microsoft Excel 2019, coding and treatment will be carried out with the SPSS 25.0 statistical software. Based on that information, relevant frequency tables and bar graphs will be created. The statistical analysis will be divided into two stages: the descriptive one, where the results will be shown according to the levels; and the inferential one, which will be carried out using Spearman's Rho test to establish the relationship between the variables studied and confirm the proposed hypothesis.

Objetivo: Determinar cómo la estrategia de afrontamiento incide en la autoestima de mujeres víctimas de violencia que acuden al servicio especializado de violencia de un Centro Materno Infantil en Comas 2023. Material y Métodos: La investigación es de tipo aplicada, diseño observacional, nivel correlacional y de corte transversal. Población: Será 80 mujeres víctimas de violencia derivadas de la fiscalía para tratamiento psicoterapéutico que se atienden en el servicio especializado de violencia del Centro Materno Infantil Laura Rodríguez. Se emplearán encuestas y dos cuestionarios como instrumentos confiables y validados por dos trabajos realizados en Perú; Mejía (2018) donde la fiabilidad del Inventario de Estrategias de Afrontamiento (CSI) tuvo una consistencia interna de Alpha Cronbach = 0,886 y así como también Aguirre 2020 muestra los resultados de validez de los niveles de autoestima con valores aceptables con alfa de Cronbach = 0,728. Los datos obtenidos se ordenarán y puntuarán con Microsoft Excel 2019, la codificación y tratamiento se realizará con el software estadístico SPSS 25.0. Con base en esa información, se crearán tablas de frecuencia y gráficos de barras relevantes. El análisis estadístico se dividirá en dos etapas: primero, el descriptivo, donde se mostrarán los resultados según los niveles; y segundo, el inferencial, que se realizará utilizando la prueba Rho de Spearman para establecer la relación entre las variables estudiadas y confirmar la hipótesis planteada.
