Abstract

Objective: To determine how self-esteem is related to the self-care capacity of patients undergoing periodic hemodialysis treatment at the National Adolfo Guevara Velasco Hospital in Cusco, Peru, in 2023.Materials and Methods: This is a quantitative research study because the variables are measurable. It is of a descriptive non-experimental design with a deductive method. The study will be conducted in the hemodialysis service and outsourced clinics of the National Adolfo Guevara Velasco Hospital in Cusco. The sample will consist of 213 hemodialysis patients. For assessing self-care, a questionnaire adapted by authors Daza, Quispe, and Zegarra will be employed. Data processing will be performed using the statistical software SPSS version 25. To measure the relationship between the two variables, the reliability of Instrument 1 will be assessed using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient with a reliability of 0.98, and the reliability of Instrument 2 will be assessed with Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, yielding a reliability of 0.809. Material y Método: Esta es una investigación de tipo cuantitativo porque las variables son medibles, de diseño descriptivo no experimental de método deductivo, se realizará en el servicio de hemodiálisis y clínicas tercerizadas del hospital Nacional Adolfo Guevara Velasco Cusco. La muestra estará representada por 213 pacientes en hemodiálisis. para ello se utilizará técnicas de entrevista estructurada, para medir la autoestima se utilizará el instrumento adaptado por autoras Daza, Quispe, Zegarra y para el autocuidado se utilizará cuestionario adaptado por autoras Daza, Quispe, Zegarra. El soporte técnico para el procesamiento de los datos será con el software estadístico SPSS versión 25. para medir la relación de las dos variables se medirá la, confiabilidad de instrumento 1, con el coeficiente de Alpha de Crombach, con una confiabilidad de 0, 98. Confiabilidad del instrumento 2, se medirá con el coeficiente de Alpha de Crombach, con una confiabilidad de 0,809.
