Self‐care and coping with stress in patients with chronic renal failure attending the National Hospital of Callao, 2023

Abstract

The general objective of the present study was to determine how self-care and coping with stress are related in patients with chronic renal failure attending the Hospital Nacional del Callao, 2023. Materials and Methods: applied research, observational design, correlational level and cross-sectional. The population will be 100 patients attending the Hospital Nacional del Callao and suffering from CKD. Surveys and two questionnaires will be used as validated and reliable instruments by two works carried out in Peru by Cruz (2022) using Cronbach's alpha, whose result is estimated at a value of =0.77 and Quequejana (2022) with a Stress Coping Questionnaire (CAE) where Cronbach's alpha will be used with a value of =0.79 for the instrument as a whole. The data collected will be sorted and scored with Microsoft Excel 2019, and coding and processing will be done with SPSS statistical software version 24; timing follows sorting by variable and dimension, filtering to avoid errors in the data, scoring to award letters or numbers and give rating range, tabulation to obtain the desired statistics, and interpretation with the use of tables and graphs as needed. Statistical analysis will be through inferential test will be through Spearman's Rho statistical test.

El presente estudio se ha propuesto como Objetivo general: Determinar cómo se relacionan el autocuidado y el afrontamiento al estrés en pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica que asisten al Hospital Nacional del Callao, 2023. Materiales y Métodos: investigación de tipo aplicada, diseño observacional, nivel correlacional y corte transversal. Población la cual será de 100 pacientes que se atienden en el Hospital Nacional del Callao y que padecen de Insuficiencia Renal Crónica. Se emplearán encuestas y dos cuestionarios como instrumentos validados y confiables por dos trabajos realizados en Perú de Cruz (2022) mediante el alfa de Cronbach, cuyo resultado se estima en un valor de =0,77 y Quequejana (2022) con un Cuestionario de Afrontamiento del Estrés (CAE) donde se utilizará el Alfa de Cronbach con valor de =0,79 para el instrumento en su conjunto. Los datos recogidos se ordenarán y puntuarán con Microsoft Excel 2019 y software estadístico SPSS en su versión 24. El análisis estadístico será a través de la prueba inferencial será por medio de la prueba estadística Rho de Spearman
