Mothers' knowledge about breastfeeding in preterm neonates in neonatal care unit of Domingo Olavegoya Hospital - Jauja, 2020

Abstract

Objective: Determine the level of knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding in preterm neonates in the neonatal care unit. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The present research presents a descriptive cross-sectional, prospective design, with a quantitative approach, the population will be made up of all mothers of hospitalized preterm neonates, the sample will be made up of a representative portion of the population under study, it will be done under probabilistic sampling. simple and the number will be representative of the population under study, in this study the main variable is knowledge, this variable being qualitative in nature with an ordinal measurement scale. RESULTS: In Mexico, the effectiveness of an educational intervention on the value of breastfeeding for mothers of premature infants treated at a baby-friendly hospital. The objective was to evaluate the effectiveness of an educational intervention and maternal knowledge about breastfeeding. The study was quasi-experimental, with educational intervention, ambispective. Conclusions: A) EBF at 3 months of age was higher in the Experimental group. B) The level of maternal knowledge about BF was higher after the educational intervention. In Peru, a study was carried out on the level of knowledge and attitudes of mothers regarding the care of premature newborns at discharge - neonatology unit, here the level of knowledge: 84% is medium and 16% is high, while the 72% have a positive attitude and 28% have a medium attitude. Knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding related to the technique of breastfeeding the newborn of mothers admitted to the Hipólito Unanue Hospital in Tacna–2017 was studied. The result was that 56.5% of the mothers range between 18 and 29 years old, 63.7% have completed secondary school, 42.3% have a cohabiting marital status, and 48.2% are from Tacna. , 51.8% have low knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding and 60.7% present signs of possible difficulty in the breastfeeding technique. CONCLUSIONS: This study will provide quantitative data on the level of mothers' knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding.

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimientos de las madres sobre lactancia materna exclusiva en neonatos pretérmino en la unidad de cuidado neonatales. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: La presente investigación presenta un diseño descriptivo de corte transversal, prospectivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, la población la constituirán todas las madres de neonatos pretérmino hospitalizados la muestra la conformará una porción representativa de la población en estudio se hará bajo un muestreo probabilísticos simple y el numero será representativo de la población en estudio, en este estudio la principal variable es conocimiento, siendo esta variable de naturaleza cualitativa con una escala de medición ordinal .RESULTADOS: En México, la efectividad de una intervención educativa del valor de la alimentación al seno materno a las madres de niños prematuros atendidos en un hospital amigo del niño el objetivo fue evaluar la efectividad de una intervención educativa y conocimientos maternos sobre lactancia, El estudio fue cuasi-experimental, con intervención educativa, ambispectivo. Conclusiones: A) La LME a los 3 meses de vida fue mayor en el grupo Experimental. B) Fue mayor el nivel de conocimientos maternos sobre LM posterior a la intervención educativa. En Perú, se realizó un estudio sobre el nivel de conocimiento y actitudes de las madres sobre el cuidado del recién nacido prematuro al alta - unidad de neonatología, aquí el nivel de conocimiento: 84% es medio y el 16% es alto, mientras el 72% tiene actitud positiva y el 28% actitud media, Se estudiaron el Conocimiento en lactancia materna exclusiva relacionada con la técnica de amamantamiento al recién nacido de madres internadas en el Hospital Hipólito Unanue de Tacna–2017. El resultado fue que el 56,5% de las madres fluctúan entre 18 a 29 años, el 63,7% se encuentra con secundaria completa, el 42,3% con un estado civil convivientes, el 48,2% son procedentes de Tacna, el 51,8% presenta un bajo conocimiento en lactancia materna exclusiva y el 60,7% presentan signos de posible dificultad en la técnica de amamantamiento. CONCLUSIONES: este estudio brindara datos cuantitativos sobre el nivel de conocimientos de las madres sobre la lactancia materna exclusiva.
