Knowledge about prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation and nursing practice in the ICU of a Police Hospital, 2023

Abstract

This research aims to: Determine the relationship between nursing knowledge and practice on prevention of pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation in ICU of a Police Hospital, 2023. The methodology: hypothetical deductive method, non-experimental design, quantitative approach, descriptive, applied, correlational, cross-section; the sample will consist of 45 nursing professionals from the ICU unit of a Police Hospital, 2023, the instruments used for the research work will be; a questionnaire and an observation guide, which are already validated; Both instruments have a high level of reliability, of 0.920 and 0.799 in both cases highly reliable, for the collection of information will last approximately 35 minutes, for each participant, for analysis and interpretation will be used tables, graphs. Likewise, for the contracting of the hypothesis, the Spearman Test will be used as a statistical estimate, with a confidence level of 95%, an error of 5%, which will be reflected in the contingency table of both variables.

Esta investigación tiene como Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el conocimiento y la práctica de enfermería sobre prevención de neumonías asociadas a ventilación mecánica en UCI de un Hospital de la policía, 2023. La metodología: método hipotético deductivo, diseño no experimental, de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo, aplicada, correlacional, de corte transversal; la muestra estará constituida por 45 profesionales de enfermería de la unidad de UCI de un Hospital de la policía, 2023, los instrumentos que se usaran para el trabajo de investigación serán; un cuestionario y una guía de observación, los cuales ya están validados; ambos instrumentos tienen un alto nivel de confiabilidad, de un 0.920 y 0.799 en ambos caso altamente confiables, para la recolección de la información se tendrá una duración aproximada de 35 minutos, para cada participante, para el análisis e interpretación se harán uso de tablas, gráficos. Asimismo, para la contratación de la hipótesis, se utilizará cómo estimación estadística la Prueba de Spearman, con un nivel de confianza del 95%, un error del 5%, el cual será plasmado en la tabla de contingencia de ambas variables
