Level of preoperative information and anxiety of patients scheduled for cardiovascular surgery in a hospital in Lima, 2022

Abstract

Determine the relationship between the level of preoperative information and the degree of anxiety of patients scheduled for cardiovascular surgery in a hospital in Lima, 2022. In this study, the hypothetical deductive method will be used, since it is considered the hypothesis as the starting point to be tested; it is of quantitative approach because it wants to evaluate the objectivity, verify, describe and predict the phenomena; It is applied because it seeks to provide a solution to everyday issues; The research design will not be experimental, with a correlational level, and it is longitudinal in nature because it makes several measurements of the variables in the same individual. The sample will be 50 patients scheduled for cardiovascular surgery, it will be through a probabilistic test, applying inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The techniques to be used in the field of study will be the questionnaire and the documentary record, both previously validated in previous studies, with respect to the results, descriptive statistics and the Pearson construction will be used, with an interpretation of the research through tables and graphs.

Determina la relación entre el nivel de información preoperatoria y el grado de ansiedad de los pacientes programados para cirugía cardiovascular en un hospital de Lima, 2022, en este estudio se aplicará el método hipotético deductivo, puesto que se considera a la hipótesis como el punto de inicio que se quiere probar; es de enfoque cuantitativo porque desea valorar la objetividad, comprobar, describir y predecir los fenómenos; es aplicada porque busca dar solución a temas cotidianos; el diseño de la investigación será no experimental, con nivel correlacional y es de corte longitudinal porque realiza varias mediciones de las variables en el mismo individuo. La muestra será de 50 pacientes programados para cirugía cardiovascular, será a través de un muestreo probabilístico, aplicando criterios de inclusión y criterios de exclusión. Las técnicas para utilizarse en el campo de estudio serán el cuestionario y la ficha documental ambos validados previamente en estudios anteriores, respecto a los resultados se usará la estadística descriptiva y correlación de Pearson, con una interpretación de hallazgos a través de tablas y gráficos.
