Knowledge and practices of self-care in patients of the tuberculosis prevention and control program of the Ermitaño Bajo health center, Independencia Lima 2022

Abstract

The current research paper presented as a project to establish the possible link that knowledge has with respect to self-care habits in the patients of the Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Program of the Ermitaño Bajo Health Center, Independencia Lima 2022, for which the basic scientific method was implemented, it also has a quantitative approach and is non-experimental in nature. The field population consisted of 100 people belonging to the prevention and control group, who were selected in their entirety because a census sampling was used. The instruments used to collect information were two questionnaires that were applied in order to calculate the variables self-care practices and knowledge about tuberculosis. The results show a Spearman's Rho coefficient of .927; as well as a degree of significance of less than 0.05. From which it was concluded that knowledge has a direct and significant link with the application of self-care habits in the convalescents of the Tuberculosis Prevention and Control System of the clinic Ermitaño Bajo, Independencia Lima 2022.

Determinar la relación del conocimiento con las prácticas de autocuidado en los pacientes del Programa de Prevención y Control de la tuberculosis del Centro de Salud Ermitaño Bajo, Independencia Lima 2022.Método científico de tipo aplicada, asimismo tiene un planteamiento cuantitativo y diseño no experimental. Muestra 100 pacientes jovenes y adultos de14 a 59 años. Para la recolección de datos se emplearon instrumentos que fueron dos cuestionarios para conocimiento y practica de autocuidado. Los resultados muestran un coeficiente Rho de Spearman de 0,927; asimismo refleja un grado de significancia menor a 0.05. Se llegó a la conclusión que los conocimientos tienen una vinculación directa y significativa con la aplicación de los hábitos de autocuidado
