Knowledge and practice on enteral nutrition administration by the nursing professional of the intensive care service

Abstract

The administration of enteral nutrition is food that goes directly to the digestive system and is carried out through a nasogastric tube. This activity is valuable since it helps the recovery of critical patients by meeting their demands since it helps meet the nutritional demands of the user. hospitalized Objective: “To determine how the level of knowledge is related to the practice on the administration of enteral nutrition of the nursing professional in the intensive care service of a hospital in Lima, 2022” the quantitative approach will be used because the variables will be measurable and represented through statistical tables, the type is applied, likewise, the method is hypothetical deductive, with a correlational, non-experimental and cross-sectional design, the sample will consist of 80 nurses from the intensive care service of the “Edgardo Rebagliati” hospital. Martins” two validated instruments will be used for the first variable, a questionnaire and for the second variable, an observation guide. To process and analyze the data, Microsoft Excel and the SPSS version will be used. 26, and for the hypothesis test the Spearmans correlation coefficient will be applied, the results will be shown in tables and/or graphs.

La administración de la nutrición enteral, es la alimentación que va directamente al aparato digestivo y se realiza mediante una sonda nasogástrica esta actividad es valiosa ya que ayuda a la recuperación de los pacientes críticos supliendo sus demandas ya que ayuda a cumplir las demandas nutricionales del usuario hospitalizado Objetivo: “Determinar como el nivel de conocimiento se relaciona con la práctica sobre la administración de nutrición enteral del profesional de enfermería en el servicio de cuidados intensivos de un hospital de Lima, 2022” se utilizará el enfoque cuantitativo porque las variables serán medibles y representadas a través de tablas estadísticas, el tipo es aplicada, asimismo, método es hipotético deductivo, con un diseño correlacional, no experimental y de corte trasversal, la muestra estará constituida por 80 enfermeras del servicio de cuidados intensivos del hospital “Edgardo Rebagliati Martins” se utilizara dos instrumentos validados para la primera variable un cuestionario y para la segunda variable una guía de observación, para procesar y analizar los datos se utilizara un Microsoft Excel y el SPSS versión 26, y para la prueba de hipótesis se aplicará el coeficiente de correlación Spearmans, los resultados se mostrarán en tablas y/o gráficos.
