| dc.description.abstract | Material and Methods: The study was quantitative, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional, with a sample of 207 mothers of children with anemia. The interview technique was used, and the instruments were the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire and the family Apgar rating scale proposed by Smilkstein. The data collected were transcribed into a Data Matrix Sheet for statistical processing. Results: Regarding family functionality, it was found that 36.2% exhibited mild dysfunction, followed by 30.9% with moderate dysfunction, 23.2% with severe dysfunction, and 9.7% with good functionality. On the other hand, regarding quality of life, 73.9% reported a medium quality of life, followed by 25.6% with a high quality, and 0.5% with a low quality. As for the dimensions, it was found that the most prominent percentage was the medium quality of life, with values ranging from 75.8% to 63.3%, followed by a high quality of life from 34.8% to 23.7%, and finally, a low quality of life from 2.4% to 0.5%. Conclusion: There is a statistically significant moderate direct relationship between quality of life and family functionality, meaning that better quality of life is associated with greater family functionality (Spearman’s Rho 0.00). | en_US |
| es_ES |
