Stress and work performance of nursing staff in the emergency service of a hospital in Lima

Abstract

This research aims to: Determine the relationship between stress and job performance of nursing staff in the emergency service of a hospital in Lima. The methodology: The project will develop the hypothetical-deductive method, typical of factual science, it is opposed to inductivism, which maintains that scientific hypotheses do not arise from observations, but are the product of human creativity through which they try to find solutions to problems. Stress is a problem that is very present in the work of nursing staff, due to the constant pressure and workload, which affects the person both physically and mentally, impairing their work performance, of a type applied with a sample of 65 emergency nurses, with the use of questionnaires for data collection, two of which are highly reliable and validated, their application will last approximately 25 minutes, for each participant, frequency tables will be used for analysis and interpretation. The reliability of the instrument was carried out through the pilot test with 10 people, obtaining a result of 0.909 Cronbach's alpha. Likewise, for the contracting of the hypothesis, the Spearman Test will be used as a statistical estimate, with a confidence level of 95%, an error of 5%, which will be reflected in the contingency table of both variables.

Esta investigación tiene como Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el estrés y el desempeño laboral del personal de enfermería en el servicio de emergencia de un hospital de Lima. La metodología: El proyecto desarrollará el método hipotético-deductivo, propio de la ciencia fáctica, se opone al inductivismo, que sostiene que las hipótesis científicas no surgen de las observaciones, sino que son producto de la creatividad humana a través de la cual intentan encontrar soluciones a los problemas estrés es una problemática muy presente en las labores del personal de enfermería, por la constante presión y carga de trabajo, lo que afecta a la persona tanto a nivel físico como mental, perjudicando su desempeño laboral., de tipo aplicada con una muestra de 65 enfermeras de emergencia, con el uso de cuestionarios para la recolección de datos siendo dos altamente confiables y validados, la aplicación de los mismos tendrá una duración aproximada de 25 minutos, para cada participante, para el análisis e interpretación se harán uso de tablas de frecuencia. La confiabilidad del instrumento se realizó mediante la prueba piloto con 10 personas, obteniendo un resultado de 0.909 de alfa de Cronbach. Asimismo, Asimismo, para la contratación de la hipótesis, se utilizará cómo estimación estadística la Prueba de Spearman, con un nivel de confianza del 95%, un error del 5%, el cual será plasmado en la tabla de contingencia de ambas variables
