Risk management and patient safety in the nursing services of an EsSalud hospital, 2023

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between risk management and patient safety in the nursing services of an EsSalud Hospital, 2023. Methods: The research will be quantitative and will use the hypothetical-deductive method, the type of research will be applied, the design will be non-experimental, the cut will be transversal and the level will be correlational. As for the population, 300 people will be taken into account who are part of the health personnel, including nurses in the areas of medicine, surgery, ambulatory and mother-child of an EsSalud hospital in the city of Lima, Peru. The technique to be used will be the survey and the instruments will be the questionnaire and the Likert scale. The instruments were previously validated and are questionnaires that will measure the variables, namely: The reliability coefficient of Cronbach's Alpha of 0.857 for both instruments were 0.817 for the risk assessment questionnaire and 0.876 for patient safety; The results will be tabulated to elaborate the necessary statistics and, if necessary, interpreted by means of tables and graphs. Finally, the degree of relationship between the two variables will be evaluated using Spearman's coefficient and the Chi-square test, which will provide an answer to the stated objective.

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo: Determinar la relación entre gestión de riesgo y seguridad del paciente en los servicios de Enfermería de un Hospital de EsSalud, 2023. La investigación será cuantitativa y empleará el método hipotético deductivo, el tipo de investigación será aplicada, el diseño será no experimental, el corte será transversal y el nivel será correlacional. En cuanto a la población, se tomará en cuenta a 300 personas que forman parte del personal de salud entre enfermeras de las áreas de medicina, cirugía, ambulatorio y madre niño de un hospital de EsSalud de la ciudad de Lima, Perú. Con respecto a la técnica a utilizar será la encuesta y en cuanto al instrumento se emplearán el cuestionario y la escala de Likert. Los instrumentos fueron previamente validados y son cuestionarios que medirán las variables, a saber: que cuenta con un coeficiente de confiabilidad de 0,857 de Alpha de Cronbach ambos instrumentos cuyo valor fue 0,817 para el cuestionario evaluación de riesgos y 0,876 para seguridad del paciente; los resultados se tabularán para elaborar las estadísticas necesarias y, en caso necesario, se interpretarán mediante tablas y gráficos. Finalmente, se evaluará el grado de relación entre ambas variables mediante el coeficiente de Spearman y la prueba de Chi Cuadrado, que dará respuesta al objetivo planteado.
