Knowledge and practice of self-care in patients with arterial hypertension in outpatient cardiology clinics of Hospital de Ventanilla 2022.

Abstract

High blood pressure is a chronic disease that has become a public health challenge and shortens the lives of many people around the world. It is considered an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease, stroke, and kidney disease, as well as the most common risk factor for death and the leading cause of disability and millions of deaths annually in the world. To determine the relationship between knowledge and self-care practice in patients with high blood pressure in the Cardiology Outpatient Clinics of the Ventanilla Hospital 2022. The study will be hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, descriptive type, and correlational design; The population and sample subject to study will be made up of 90 patients with high blood pressure; the sampling being non-probabilistic for convenience. For the processing and analysis of the survey data, the collected information will first be organized, then the data will be coded, once the data is collected, the data will be organized according to its study variables, the data will be processed using the Excel 2019 statistical software and the SPSS statistical program version 26.0 to generate statistical tables by dimensions and indicators; also, to determine the relationship between variables the Spearman Correlation Test (Rho).

"La hipertensión arterial es una enfermedad crónica que se ha convertido en un desafío de salud pública y acorta la vida de muchas personas en todo el mundo, se considera un importante factor de riesgo de enfermedad cardiovascular, accidente cerebrovascular y enfermedad renal, así como el factor de riesgo más común de muerte y la principal causa de discapacidad y millones de muertes anuales en el mundo. Determinar la relación que existe entre el conocimiento y la práctica de autocuidado en pacientes con hipertensión arterial en Consultorios Externos de Cardiología del Hospital de Ventanilla 2022. El estudio será hipotético-deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo descriptivo, y diseño correlacional; la población y muestra sujeta de estudio estará conformada por 90 pacientes con hipertensión arterial; siendo el muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Para el procesamiento y análisis de los datos de la encuesta, primero se ordenará la información recolectada, luego se llevará a cabo la codificación de los datos, una vez recolectados los datos se organizará los datos de acuerdo a sus variables de estudio, los datos se procesaran utilizando el software estadístico Excel 2019 y el programa estadístico SPSS versión 26.0 para generar tablas estadísticas por dimensiones e indicadores; asimismo, para determinar la relación entre variables la Prueba de Correlación de Spearman (Rho)."
