Level of knowledge and practice on newborn care in adolescent mothers in a health post, Huaura 2023

Abstract

Introduction: Currently, many newborns die due to the low level of knowledge and adequate care practices on the part of adolescent mothers. The objective of this study will be to “Determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and practice on newborn care in adolescent mothers in a health post in Huaura, 2023” method: quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional; Likewise, 80 adolescent mothers who will attend the growth and development clinic with their newborn before 28 days will make up the population. For their evaluation, two instruments will be applied, one for the knowledge variable and the other for the practical variable, which are questionnaires that have reliability and validity, the data will be collected and passed into the SPSS statistical program, version 25. The statistic that will be used to measure the relationship between the study variables will be Spearman's RHO.

Objetivo “Determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel conocimiento y la práctica sobre cuidado del recién nacido en madres adolescentes en un puesto de salud de Huaura,2023” método: cuantitativo, correlacional y de corte transversal; asimismo, 80 madres adolescentes que acudirán al consultorio de crecimiento y desarrollo con su neonato antes de los 28 días conformaran la población , para su evaluación se aplicaran 2 instrumentos uno para la variable conocimiento y otro para la variable practica los cuales son cuestionarios que cuentan con confiabilidad y validez, los datos serán recolectados y pasados en el programa estadístico SPSS, versión 25. El estadístico que se utilizará para medir la relación entre las variables de estudio será el RHO de Spearman.
