Relationship between mental health disorders and workplace harassment in human medicine teachers at the Federico Villarreal National University, Lima 2021.

Abstract

The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between mental health disorders and workplace harassment in medicine teachers at the Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal de Lima, 2021. The Methodology was basic, quantitative approach, non-experimental, transversal design. correlational. The sample units will be made up of 200 medical teachers from the Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal de Lima, 2021. The results show that 58.5% of the medical teachers at UNFV 2021 have low workplace harassment, 24.5% do not present it and only 17 % have high workplace harassment. Likewise, 56.5% have a moderate mental health disorder, 23.5% have a severe one, and 20% have a mild one. Furthermore, they show that through the analysis of the Rho Spearman test, there is a significant relationship between the variables workplace harassment and mental health disorder (p-value < 0.05). Likewise, the significant relationship between workplace harassment with the depression dimensions , anxiety, burnout syndrome and work stress (p-value < 0.05). It is concluded that there is a relationship between mental health disorder and workplace harassment of medical teachers at the Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal de Lima, 2021.

El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre trastornos de salud mental y acoso laboral en docentes de medicina de la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal de Lima, 2021. La Metodología fue de tipo de básico, enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, transversal correlacional. Las unidades muestrales estarán compuestas 200 docentes de medicina de la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal de Lima, 2021. Los resultados muestran que el 58.5% de los docentes de medicina de la UNFV 2021 tienen un acoso laboral bajo, el 24.5% no presenta y solo 17% tiene acoso laboral alto. Así mismo, el 56.5% tienen trastorno de salud mental moderada, el 23.5% grave y el 20% leve. Además, muestran que mediante el análisis de la prueba Rho Spearman, existe una relación significativa entre las variables acoso laboral y trastorno de salud mental (p-valor< 0.05)., así mismo, la relación significativa entre el acoso laboral con las dimensiones depresión, ansiedad, síndrome burnout y estrés laboral (p-valor< 0.05). Se concluye que existe relación entre el trastorno de salud mental y acoso laboral de docentes de medicina de la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal de Lima, 2021.
