Abstract

Introduction: The type of breastfeeding is a fundamental instrument for human health, which an adequate practice of exclusive breastfeeding can reduce or avoid the rate of malnutrition or obesity, according to their nutritional status in minors, being the population most at risk. Objective: To determine the type of breastfeeding and its relationship with the nutritional status of the child from 0 to 6 months of age, cared for at the Juan Pablo II Maternal and Child Center in Villa El Salvador, Lima 2023. Methods: applied type study, hypothetical deductive quantitative approach, correlational and cross-sectional design. The population and sample are infants under 0 to 6 months of age cared for at the Juan Pablo II Maternal and Child Center in the CRED area, and the technique to be applied is the survey, and the anthropometric to determine nutritional status. Finally, to measure the variable, type of breastfeeding of children under 6 months, it is based on a questionnaire that is made up of 3 dimensions that are: Exclusive breastfeeding, mixed breastfeeding and artificial breastfeeding, in this way it is possible to establish the assessment scale, In the year 20219 this instrument was created by the researchers: Ancajima Ayala, Cristina Rosa Moreano Zegarra, Nancy, students from the Norbert Wiener Private University.

El tipo de lactancia materna, es un instrumento primordial para la salud humana, lo cual una adecuada práctica de lactancia materna exclusiva puede disminuir o evitar el índice de desnutrición u obesidad, de acuerdo a su estado nutricional en los menores de edad, siendo la población con mayor riesgo. Objetivo: Determinar el tipo de lactancia materna y su relación con el estado nutricional del niño de 0 - 6 meses de edad, atendidos en el Centro Materno Infantil Juan Pablo II de villa el salvador, Lima 2023. Métodos: de estudio de tipo aplicado, hipotético deductivo de enfoque cuantitativo, de diseño correlacional y trasversal. La población y muestra son los lactantes menores de 0 a 6 meses atendidos en el Centro Materno Infantil Juan Pablo II en el área de CRED, y como técnica que se aplicara es la encuesta, y la antropométrica para determinar el estado nutricional.
