Level of knowledge of the nursing professional about the care focused on the neurodevelopment of the premature newborn hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit of Hospital II-2 Tarapoto in the period February to June 2020

Abstract

For many years, there has been a need for priority care for neonatal patients in danger of death, which causes the nursing professional to assume a special role, this problem has not diminished, and on the other hand, the sequelae in survivors have increased, one of the causes that originates this problem is the lack of equipment, the assigned resources are insufficient, and the lack of training in care for this group of patients is added. The purpose of the study was to determine the level of knowledge of nursing professionals about the care of the neurodevelopment of premature infants hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Hospital II-2 Tarapoto. The methodology is based on a quantitative, descriptive, prospective cross-sectional method. The population consisted of nurses from the neonatal ICU of Tarapoto Hospital 2-II, using 20 verified questionnaires, and then analyzing the results through tables and figures using descriptive statistics, in addition to applying the ethical standards of research.

Desde hace muchos años, existe la necesidad de atención en cuidados prioritarios a pacientes neonatos en peligro de muerte, lo que provoca que el Enfermería, asuma un rol especial, este problema no ha disminuido, y por otro lado se ha incrementado las secuelas en los sobrevivientes, una de las causas que origina este problema es la falta de equipos, los recursos asignados son insuficientes, y se agrega la falta de capacitación en atención a este grupo de pacientes. El propósito del estudio fue determinar el nivel de conocimiento de los Enfermería sobre el cuidado del neurodesarrollo del prematuro hospitalizado en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales del Hospital II-2 Tarapoto. la metodología se basa en un método cuantitativo, descriptivo transversal prospectivo. la población estuvo conformada por enfermeras de la UCI neonatal del Hospital Tarapoto 2-II, utilizando 20 cuestionarios verificados, y luego analizando los resultados a través de tablas y figuras mediante estadística descriptiva, además de aplicar los estándares éticos de la investigación.
