Motivación y satisfacción laboral del personal de enfermería del centro quirúrgico de un hospital público de Lima, 2023

The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between motivation and job satisfaction of the nursing staff of the surgical center of the Hospital Nacional of Lima. For this purpose, the scientific method and the specific hypothetical-deductive method were applied, the approach is quantitative, non-experimental and correlational design. The sample consisted of 100 nursing professionals who work in the surgical center area of the Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza. The results indicate that there is a high level of work motivation in the nursing staff with 56.25 % (54), followed by moderate level with 32.29 % (31) and very high with 8.33 % (8). In addition, there is a high level of job satisfaction with 42.71 % (41), followed by moderate level with 33.33 % (32) and low with 13.54 % (13). It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between motivation and job satisfaction of the nursing staff. Since, the p-value obtained (p = 0.021) was lower than the significance level (p < α = .05). In addition, Spearman's rho was 0.234 therefore the relationship is positive and low between the study variables.
