    Impacto del programa hospitics en docencia pediátrica para el rendimiento académico y motivación en estudiantes de medicina en un hospital de Lima 2021

    Education as a process of construction of knowledge based on teaching and learning, has had important changes; technological development has gained space. Currently worldwide learning through information and technology (ICT) generates new opportunities, most of the students have technological tools with connectivity, in addition to the skills in their rapid adaptation to technological use in the social and recreational area; in addition, the evidence of the benefit of ICTs in the training of health professionals, with good results in classrooms and laboratories; Training requires gaining skills in its use for continuous learning, as a source of information, updating and for performance in work environments. The objective of this research was to determine the impact of ICTs on the training of medical students during their pediatric hospital rotation, on academic performance and motivation. A mixed approach study was carried out in a non-probabilistic census sample. The students were divided into an experimental and a control group. Conclusion: it was found that the HOSPITICS program significantly influences academic performance and motivation, in the cognitive and attitudinal dimensions; However, in the procedural dimension, there was an improvement in the qualification in the experimental group without being significant. Additionally, the findings highlight the appreciation of students and teachers towards the program: attractive, innovative, flexible and motivating; achieving better performance and satisfaction.
