    Conocimientos sobre advertencias publicitarias y el estado nutricional de estudiantes del colegio I.E. N°6069 “Pachacutec”, 2025

    En Perú, el consumo desequilibrado de alimentos ha incrementado la prevalencia de Enfermedades Crónicas No Transmisibles en adolescentes. Para enfrentar esta problemática, se promulgó la Ley N.º 30021 de Promoción de la Alimentación Saludable, que establece el uso obligatorio de octógonos en productos procesados. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre las advertencias publicitarias (octógonos) y el estado nutricional de los estudiantes de 4to y 5to de secundaria del colegio I.E. N.º 6069 “Pachacútec”, 2025. Se aplicó un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicado, con diseño descriptivo-correlacional y corte transversal. Los resultados muestran que el 42% de los estudiantes tiene un nivel alto de conocimiento sobre los octógonos, 37.9% nivel medio y 20.1% nivel bajo. En cuanto al estado nutricional, el 58.6% presenta peso normal, 33.7% sobrepeso y el 7.7% obesidad. Se evidenció una relación significativa entre mayor conocimiento y mejores indicadores nutricionales. Estos hallazgos coinciden parcialmente con estudios previos en Perú y Latinoamérica, que destacan la influencia del etiquetado en las decisiones alimentarias. Se concluye que el conocimiento sobre advertencias publicitarias puede contribuir a mejorar el estado nutricional en adolescentes.

    Factors associated with the prevalence of anemia in children under 2 years of age who attend the Campiña health center, Lima 2023

    Objective: Determine the factors associated with the prevalence of anemia in children under 2 years of age who attend the Health Center Campiña, Lima 2023. Methodology: It is a descriptive, cutting-edge investigation transversal and non-experimental. It is made up of all 75 infants with anemia under 2 years of age who attend the health center health. A questionnaire was applied that consists of 8 questions between dichotomous. Results: It was found that 62.67% had anemia at a mild level. He 50.67% of the mothers were between 26 and 35 years old, 54.67% of the infants were between 12 to 23 months old, 84% came from urban areas, 60% were men, 50.7% had 2 children, 84% were housewives only, 78.7% had a secondary level, 65.3% had an income of 1025 soles and 57.3% have internet access. As for the nutritional aspects, 94.7% presented EBF for a period of 4 to 5 months, that 78.7% presented complementary feeding at 6 months. In environmental aspects, it was identified that 70.7% had 3 people per room, 100% of the sample has access to water drinking water and 53.3% had dogs. In the pathological aspect, it was found that 74.7% did present HAIs in the last two months, 61.3% did presented EDAS in the last two months, 74.7% did not present history of malnutrition and 21.3% did have a history of prematurity. Conclusion: It was determined that there are factors associated with the prevalence of anemia in children under 2 years of age who attend the center of health.

    Frequency of Consumption of Processed Foods in Older Adults with Diagnosis of Type II Diabetes Mellitus Who Are Treated at the Dos de Mayo National Hospital, Lima 2023.

    Objective: Determine the frequency of consumption of processed foods in older adults with a diagnosis of type II diabetes mellitus who are treated at the Dos de Mayo National Hospital, Lima 2023. Methodology: The study was descriptive, with a quantitative, cross-sectional, and deductive approach, since a survey was applied that allowed us to know the frequency of consumption. The instrument used was a questionnaire which is composed of 24 items with multiple response options with a Likert scale to know the frequency of food consumption.Results: In older adults with type II diabetes mellitus, approximately one in three consume sugar daily, and most do so between 2 to 4 times per week. Packaged cookies and yogurt are the most consumed sugary foods weekly. Regarding salty foods, white bread and whole wheat bread are the most consumed, between 2 to 4 times a week. Some processed foods, such as canned fish, packaged cheese, ham, and hot dogs, are consumed at least once a week. Sauces and canned foods are consumed less frequently. These findings highlight the importance of providing nutrition education to improve eating habits and diabetes management in this population. Conclusion: Most older adults with type II diabetes mellitus consume sugar and sugary foods frequently. Bread, both white and whole wheat, is one of the most consumed salty foods. Regular consumption of certain processed foods was identified.

    Knowledge and attitudes about balanced nutrition in pregnant mothers who attend the Defensores de la Patria health center, Lima, 2021

    The study was descriptive, with a quantitative, cross-sectional, non-experimental approach. A survey was used as an instrument, consisting of 5 questions with multiple answers on balanced feeding to evaluate the knowledge of pregnant mothers and an evaluation consisting of 8 items to evaluate their type of attitude towards balanced feeding. The sample is made up of 30 pregnant mothers who are treated at the Defensores de la Patria Health Center, Lima 2021. According to the level of knowledge of the pregnant mothers about balanced nutrition, it was observed that 63.3% (n=19) obtained a low level of knowledge and 36.7% (n=11) presented a very low level of knowledge and in the case of attitude about a balanced diet that the 86.75% (n=26) had a very good attitude towards the topic, 10% (n=3) had an excellent attitude and 3.15% (n=1) had a good attitude regarding the level of knowledge about balanced nutrition in mothers pregnant women who are treated at the defenders of the country health center, presents a low level of 63.3%, demonstrating that pregnant mothers are unaware of the causes and consequences of poor nutrition during this stage and may cause future complications for the mother as well as for the baby and the attitude towards balanced nutrition in pregnant mothers according to age group, 45% have a very good attitude being made up of young adults, likewise according to number of children, 45.15% have very good attitude made up of new mothers.

    Knowledge and Attitudes about Iron Deficiency Anemia in mothers or caregivers of children diagnosed with anemia from 6 to 11 months who are treated at the Defensores de la Patria Health Center, Lima 2021

    The study was descriptive, with a quantitative, cross-sectional, non-experimental approach. As an instrument, a survey was used, which was made up of 15 questions with multiple answers on iron deficiency anemia to evaluate knowledge in mothers, and a test made up of 8 items to evaluate their type of attitude towards iron deficiency anemia. The sample consisted of 80 mothers or caregivers of children diagnosed with anemia from 6 to 11 months who are treated at the Defensores de la Patria-Ventanilla Health Center, Lima 2021. Regarding the level of knowledge of the mothers or caregivers about anemia iron deficiency, it was observed that 46.25% (n=37) obtained a low level of knowledge, 36.25% (n=29) obtained a medium level of knowledge and only 17.50% (n=14) obtained a high level of knowledge. In the case of the attitude of mothers or caregivers towards the prevention of iron deficiency anemia, it was observed that 60% (n=48) of those surveyed had a favorable attitude, while 40% had an unfavorable attitude (n= 32). The level of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia in the mothers or caregivers surveyed is mostly low (46.25%), since only 17.5% obtained a high level. Most of them are unaware of the consequences of iron deficiency anemia, the foods that help the absorption of iron, as well as the foods that decrease the absorption of this mineral. The attitude shown towards the prevention of iron deficiency anemia in mothers or caregivers is favorable in 60% of those surveyed, however, the majority of them are indifferent about considering iron deficiency anemia a serious disease and about the importance of consuming citrus foods along with foods rich in iron to enhance the absorption of the aforementioned mineral.

    Level of Knowledge about the consumption of fruits and vegetables in pregnant women at the Defensores de la Patria Health Center, Lima 2021

    General Objective: To evaluate the level of knowledge about the consumption of fruits and vegetables in pregnant women treated at the Defensores de la Patria Health Center in 2021. Material and Method: The study was descriptive, with a quantitative, cross-sectional, non-experimental approach. A survey was used as an instrument, which was made up of 20 closed, single-option questions. The sample consisted of 60 pregnant women who are treated at the Defensores de la Patria-Ventanilla Health Center, Lima 2021. Results: Regarding the level of knowledge of the pregnant women surveyed about the consumption of fruits and vegetables during pregnancy, it was observed that only 21.67% of pregnant women (n=13) obtained a high level of knowledge, 70% of pregnant women ( n=42) obtained a medium level of knowledge and 8.33% of pregnant women (n=5) obtained a low level of knowledge. However, the majority of pregnant women surveyed are unaware of aspects such as the main functions in the body and the benefits of consuming fruits and vegetables during pregnancy. Conclusion: The level of knowledge about the consumption of fruits and vegetables in the pregnant women who are treated at the Defensores de la Patria Health Center in 2021, have a medium level of knowledge with 70% of the pregnant women surveyed. The questions that are most associated with erroneous answers in the respondents are those related to knowledge about the functions and benefits of consuming fruits and vegetables during pregnancy.

    Level of Knowledge and Frequency of Consumption of Food Sources of Iron in Pregnant Women who are attended at the Defensores de La Patria Health Center, Ventanilla, 2022

    General Objective: Determine the level of knowledge and frequency of consumption of foods that are sources of iron in pregnant women who are treated at the “Defensores de la Patria Health Center, Ventanilla, 2022”. Material and Method: The study will be descriptive, with a quantitative, cross-sectional, non-experimental approach. As an instrument, a questionnaire will be used which will be made up of 10 questions with a single answer on foods that are sources of iron to evaluate knowledge in pregnant women, which will be classified as high level of knowledge (10-7 pts.), medium (6-4 pts. .) and low (3-0 pts.) and a questionnaire made up of 11 items, where the frequency of food consumption is recorded with the objective of analyzing the level of iron consumption in general within the diet of the interviewees, which will be classified into high (44-30 pts.), medium (29-15 pts.) and low (14-0 pts.) consumption levels. Results: Regarding the level of knowledge of the pregnant women about foods that are sources of iron, it was observed that 8.33% (n=5) had a low level of knowledge, 68.3% (n=41) had a medium level of knowledge, and 23.3% (n=41) had a medium level of knowledge. % (n=14) have a high level of knowledge. Conclusion: The level of knowledge of foods that are sources of iron in pregnant women treated at the Defensores de la Patria Health Center in 2022 has average knowledge with 68.3% of pregnant women surveyed. The level of frequency of consumption of foods that are sources of iron in pregnant women treated at the Defensores de la Patria Health Center was medium with a percentage of 98.33% of pregnant women surveyed. However, the majority of pregnant women surveyed are unaware of iron deficiency anemia.

    Nutritional value and acceptance level of different concentrations of the compote made from maca, mango, and blood sausage in mothers of children aged 8 to 24 months who attend the Corporation for Child Nutrition (CONIN) located in the district of San Juan de Miraflores

    The maca mango and blood sausage puree provides important and essential nutrients that aid in the growth and development of infants. Objective: To determine the nutritional value and acceptance of the different concentrations of the maca, mango, and blood sausage puree in mothers of children aged 8 to 24 months attending the Corporation for Infant Nutrition (CONIN) located in the district of San Juan de Miraflores. Methodology: The research is descriptive, cross-sectional, and non-experimental. The puree was made from maca-calcium, mango-vitamin C, and blood sausage-iron. Nutritional and microbiological analysis of each sample was performed, and the acceptability of the purees was evaluated in 86 volunteers. Results: Three samples were made: C60, C90, and C120. The sample (C90) received the highest scores in the following evaluated characteristics: aroma, taste, texture, and appearance. According to laboratory results, the nutritional values maintained their properties, and the microbiological load met the standards for consumption by children under 2 years of age. Conclusions: The puree demonstrates a balanced nutritional profile, with no added sugars or preservatives, making it a healthy option in the market.
