Methodology: The method was hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, descriptive correlational and non-experimental design. The population was made up of 80 patients who attend the Tuberculosis Control Program (PCT). The technique was the survey and validated instruments “Modified Tanahashi Test” and “Adapted Morisky Green Test”. Results: It is evident that access to health services in PCT patients was medium level 50%, low 33.8% and high 16.2%; and adherence to treatment was 83.7%; According to dimensions, availability was medium level 46.2%, low 32.5% and high 21.3%; accessibility was medium level 50%, low 35% and high 15%; acceptability was medium level 47.5%, low 40% and high 12.5%; and contact was medium level 55%, low 27.5% and high 17.5%. Conclusions: According to the Spearman Correlation Test, it is concluded that there is a moderate relationship between access to health services and adherence to anti-tuberculosis treatment in patients who attend the PCT of the Caja de Agua Health Center (Rho = 0.739, p = 0.038).Publicación Acceso abierto Acciones gubernamentales sanitarias por COVID-19 y su relación con el acceso a la salud bucal en la provincia de Chincha, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-07-22) Quincho Rosales, Dilmer Armando; Bonilla Asalde, Cesar AntonioDue to the COVID-19 pandemic the health policies imposed by the government have effects in access to health care; the government health actions that were taken as a measure to control and prevent the disease; Therefore, this study aims to analyze the relationship between government health actions by COVID-19 and access to oral health in the people of the province of Chincha. Materials and method, a descriptive correlational study was applied in a population of the province of Chincha, which was applied a virtual survey created for the purpose in 188 people chosen by randomness in a virtual group of the Facebook platform. The results obtained showed the existence of a negative correlation (r= -0.39) between governmental health actions and access to oral health (p<0.05). In addition, negative results were found between free transit and meeting restrictions, limitations in the offer of regular health services, the prioritization of the health system by COVID-19, and access to oral health. Due to this, a study of deductive, quantitative method, correlational level, applied and nonexperimental design was presented, where a sample group of 94 patients with hypertension who attended a health center in North Lima was identified. The results obtained demonstrate the existence of a moderate positive relationship between the quality of life variable and the dimensions of the frequency in which the medication is taken with p=0.000, Rho=0.426 and mood during treatment with p=0.000, Rho= 0.556; likewise, the variable adherence to treatment maintained a moderately significant relationship between the physical quality of life dimensions with p=0.000, Rho=0.490; psychological quality of life with p=0.000, Rho=0.617 and social quality of life with p=0.000, Rho=0.545. Consequently, a moderate positive significant relationship was identified between the variable’s adherence to treatment and quality of life in patients with hypertension who attend a health center with a P=0.000 and a Rho=0.679, demonstrating that the greater the adherence to treatment, the better the quality of life of the patient with hypertension.Publicación Acceso abierto Adicción a redes sociales virtuales y habilidades sociales en adolescentes que asisten al Centro de Salud Mental Comunitario Illarimun, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-03-06) De La Cruz López, Katherine Lizeth; Diaz del Olmo Morey, Fernando LuisThe objective of the study was to determine the relationship between addiction to virtual social networks and social skills in adolescents who attend the Illarimun Community Mental Health Center, 2023, being a hypothetical - deductive, quantitative, applied, correlational, nonexperimental study. which had a population of 150 adolescents, who applied the questionnaire survey technique, the Adolescent Addiction Risk Scale for Social Networks and the Internet (ERA-RSI) and Social Skills Checklist (LCHS), with crombach's alpha of 0.91 and 0.98, which resulted in the majority of adolescents having a low level with 44.4%, while the low level of social skills with 52.3%, regarding the correlation between both variables in value of 0.551* * of Rho and p = 0.000, then it was concluded that there is a regular and significant positive correlation between study variables of the adolescents surveyed.Publicación Acceso abierto Alcoholemia y actitudes protectoras de los conductores en la provincia de Abancay - Apurímac, año 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-05-27) Avila Sequeiros, Jefferson; Caycho Valencia, Félix AlbertoTraffic accidents are a public health problem worldwide due to the number of human lives lost every day. This situation worsens when the drunk driver is more prone to accidents because the ability to react is weakened. and compared to another in the same state, if his personality and attitudes make him take additional risks, they trigger the occurrence of an event with fatal consequences. In this sense, this research aims to know whether or not there is a relationship between the level of alcohol and protective attitudes in drivers in the province of Abancay in 2024, therefore carrying out a descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional study. For the application, information was collected on the blood alcohol level of drivers in the province of Abancay subjected to alcohol testing in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023 who have participated in traffic accidents and surveying 292 drivers for protective attitudes. The results predominate alcohol level of drunkenness (66.7%) and absolute drunkenness (48.4%), alcohol level and attitudes (Chi-square 7.437 with p value=0.282), alcohol level and cognitive dimension (Chi-square 5.813 with p value=0.668 ), alcohol level and the Affective dimension (Chi-square 11.430 with p value=0.076), alcohol level and the Behavioral dimension (Chi-square 7.079 with p value=0.528). In the case of the attitude variable, the 3 dimensions prevail, the neutral or undecided level prevails with the cognitive (56.2%); affective (46.6%) and behavioral (48.3%). This study being a qualitative, correlational approach with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population group that was chosen for this study was made up of people who go to the Dentistry Area of a private office in Huánuco, thus being the sample of 248. The procedure that was used for data collection was through a survey, and the type of instrument used was through a Questionnaire called Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP-14) consisting of 14 questions and 5 alternatives to choose from and the Corah Dental Anxiety Scale, a brief questionnaire, consisting of 4 questions and 5 options to choose from. Within the results, it was found regarding anxiety levels 46.8% of moderate anxiety, followed by low anxiety in 39.1% and high anxiety in 7.3%. Regarding the quality of life, a regular quality of life was found in 53.6%, followed by a bad one in 42.3% and an excellent quality of life in 4%. Regarding the quality of life in its dimension of functional limitation, they present moderate anxiety with an excellent quality of life in 34.7%, in its dimension of physical pain they present low anxiety with an excellent quality of life in 24.2%, in its dimension of physical disability present moderate anxiety with a regular quality of life in 19%, in their dimension of psychological discomfort, they present moderate anxiety with an excellent quality of life in 21.8%, in their dimension of psychological disability, they present moderate anxiety with a regular quality of life in 22.6%, in its dimension of social disability they present moderate anxiety with an excellent quality of life in 24.2%, in its dimension of disability, they present moderate anxiety with an excellent quality of life in 26.2%, reaching the conclusion if there is a relationship between anxiety and quality of life related to oral health in patients from a clinic in Huánuco.Publicación Acceso abierto Ansiedad y desempeño laboral en enfermeras del Hospital Dos de Mayo Después del Covid 19, Lima - 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-13) Saavedra Galán, María de los Milagros; Maguiña Palma, Misael EriksonStudy whose objective was to determine the correlation between the variables Anxiety and Work Performance in nurses at the Dos de Mayo Hospital After Covid 19, Lima - 2023, where the problem of mental health of the staff is addressed after the consequences of COVID 19. Method: The method applied with a cross-sectional correlational descriptive design was used. Sample: 81 nurses from the COVID 19 Area selected through an intentional non-probabilistic approach. Instruments: the questionnaires of the Hamilton Anxiety Scale and the Rodríguez and Ramírez Work Performance Scale adapted by Granados and Lora were applied to the selected personnel. Both instruments with validity and reliability. The results, the level of Anxiety expressed by the nursing staff is Absence (48.1%), between mild and moderate levels (33.3%) and at a high level we have 18.5% of the nurses. In job performance, the average level predominates (54.3%), at high level we have 22.2% and at low level 23.5%. And, at a probability of less than 0.05, using Spearman's Rho statistic they determined that there is no significant statistical correlation (Rho= 0.062; p= 0.582). The anxiety and academic performance variables were studied in a total of 105 Nursing students from a Private Institute in Lima 2022. An instrument (EAL - 20) was used for the anxiety variable and Documentary Analysis for the Academic Performance variable. Results: Consequences were found between anxiety and academic performance (p=0.000), with the PSYCHIC ANXIETY DIMENSION (Rho: - 0.459) inverse and moderate reactions. With the PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS DIMENSION (Rho: - 0.466) inverse and moderate conversions, with the SOCIAL PHOBIA DIMENSION (Rho: - 0.335) inverse and weak conversions. AND DIMENSION AGAROPHOBIA (Rho: - 0.403) an inverse and moderate conversion. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between anxiety and academic performance in nursing students from a Private Institute in Lima 2022.Publicación Acceso abierto Bienestar psicológico y satisfacción con la vida en adolescentes de una Institución Educativa Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-02) Chuquitaype Mallma, Jenny Lee; Caycho Valencia, Félix AlbertoThe objective of this study was to determine if there is a significant correlation between psychological well-being and life satisfaction in adolescents of an educational institution in Lima, Lima, 2022. A non-experimental design of applied correlational type was used. The study sample consisted of 325 students between males and females aged 14 to 19 years. Instruments: Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) adapted by Alarcón and the Psychological Well-Being Scale BIEPS-J by María Casullo configured by 13 items distributed in 4 dimensions: Situational control, psychosocial bonds, projects and self-acceptance; the psychometric properties of the instruments indicate that they are valid and reliable. On the other hand, the data were processed in the statistical package SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 24.0, performing descriptive and correlation analyses. The results showed a correlation between both variables of 0.540 and a p-value of 0.000 (p 0.05), indicating that a high level of psychological well-being will be accompanied by a high level of life satisfaction. In the descriptive results it was found that the level of psychological well-being is high, in 64.31%, and the level of life satisfaction is medium or regular in 57.54%. It is concluded that there is a correlation between psychological well-being and life satisfaction (p=0.000, rho= 0.540), and it was also found that women had more satisfaction with life and psychological well-being.Publicación Acceso abierto Calidad de atención del obstetra y adherencia a métodos anticonceptivos durante la pandemia Covid-19 en usuarias que acuden al hospital San Juan de Lurigancho 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-09-17) Cardenas Cervantes, Lidia; Caycho Valencia, Félix AlbertoObjective: To determine the relationship between the quality of obstetric care and adherence to contraceptive methods in family planning users, 2022. Methodology: Quantitative approach study, applied type, correlational scope, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, prospective. We worked with a sample of 239 family planning users who met the inclusion criteria, data collection was carried out using the survey technique and a Likert-type questionnaire instrument. The data analysis was carried out in the SPSS program, to determine the correlation between both variables, the Rho Spearman statistical test was applied. Results: When relating the variable obstetrician quality of care and adherence to contraceptive methods, a significance was obtained (p=0.006) and presented a positive correlation strength of 0.177, when relating the dimension reliability and adherence a significance was obtained (p= 0.007) with a positive correlation strength of 0.174, when relating the dimension tangible aspects and adherence a significance was obtained (p=0.046) with a positive correlation strength of 0.128. Conclusions: There is a relationship between the obstetrician quality of care and adherence to contraceptive methods, also between the reliability dimension, tangible aspects with adherence, respectively.Publicación Acceso abierto Calidad de la consejería nutricional y adherencia al tratamiento de la anemia en niños de un centro de salud ubicado en la Molina, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-03-28) Dipaz Vasquez, Fredy; Maguiña Palma, Misael EriksonThis work focused on establishing the association between adherence to treatment of anaemia and the quality of nutritional counseling and infants. The methodology used for this work also consisted of a hypothetical-deductive method, and its design was not experimental in a study group made up of children, the sample of which was composed of 80 children from a health centre that was a probabilistic and randomized sample. In addition, the approach was quantitative, as the data were analyzed statistically and adequately met the objectives of this work. The instruments that were used in the study were two questionnaires, which were validated through expert judgment, all specialists in the area of public health, these five specialist persons in the field of study were checked by the alpha of Cronbach (α = ,909; α = ,785). The instruments also assessed parents at a single time in order to corroborate the research into the proposed variables. Thus, based on the results obtained in terms of the quality of nutritional counselling, he stressed that 57.5% was at a “good” level and according to adherence to treatment of anaemia, 50% was found at a “regular” level and 50% at a “suitable” level. It was concluded that the relationship between adherence to treatment of anaemia and the quality of nutritional counselling and infants was considerable (rho = ,624**), showing 62% verification among the children in the study.Publicación Acceso abierto Calidad de vida en el trabajo y compromiso laboral en tiempos de Covid-19 del personal de laboratorios moleculares, año 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-27) Balbuena Torres, Johanna Nery; Maguiña Palma, Misael EriksonObjective: To determine if there is a relationship between CVT and CL in times of COVID-19 of the molecular laboratory personnel of the regional reference laboratories in public health in Peru, year 2023. Methodology The research was applied, explanatory correlational, nonexperimental design and cross. The population consisted of 82 professionals and technicians from molecular laboratories from the country's regions. The data was collected through a general data form, the brief CVT-Gohisalo questionnaire and the Schaufeli W UWES-9 questionnaire. It was analyzed using the statistical package SPSS v25, the frequencies and percentages were determined, to correlate the variables Spearman's correlation coefficient was used. Results: 65.85% (54/82) of the workers have a high CVT and their CL is high for 51.22% (42/82). Likewise, for the CVT in the dimensions institutional support for work, well-being achieved through work, personal development of the worker and free time management, the levels were high with percentages of 54.88%, 69.51%, 51.22% and 67.07% respectively. Regarding the CL in the dimensions vigor, dedication and absorption had high levels of 50.0%, 59.75% and 47.57% respectively. Conclusions: In the participating population, it was determined that there is an association between QWL and EW in the workers of the MINSA molecular laboratories.Publicación Acceso abierto Características clínicas y serología de Sars-Cov-2/Covid-19 en pacientes del hospital emergencia ate Vitarte, 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-08-26) Bautista Salas de Cornejo, Selene Adelis; Loayza Alarico, Manuel JesúsThe disease caused by SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 is a global public health problem in which most countries have declared a health emergency and strict quarantine as it is considered a high-risk pandemic. Objectives: Determine the relationship between the clinical characteristics and the SARS-CoV2/COVID-19 serology of patients at the Ate Vitarte Emergency Hospital, 2020. Material and method: Quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational study. For this, a sample of 339 patients (262 men and 77 women), who were between 30 and 59 years old, was taken. The information was collected through documentary analysis. The data was coded in an Excel database and analyzed in the statistical program SPSS. Results: Among the clinical characteristics presented were respiratory distress, cough, fever/chills and general discomfort as main signs and/or symptoms, with patients between 30 and 59 years of age being the most affected group. The distribution of the type of immunoglobulins in patients with reactive SARS-CoV2/COVID-19 serology was: 91.1% had IgM/IgG, 6.5% had IgG and 2.4% had IgM. The association between clinical characteristics and SARS-CoV2/COVID-19 serology was not statistically significant (p>0.05). It is concluded that respiratory distress was the most important clinical manifestation, the age group from 30 to 59 years, the male gender and Lima as the place of origin, the most important epidemiological characteristics related to COVID-19 in the Hospital Emergencia Ate Vitarte, 2020.Publicación Acceso abierto Características clínicas-epidemiológicas asociados al Covid-19 en el personal de salud de un hospital militar de Lima, Perú del periodo 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-03-24) Changano Rodríguez, María Verónica; Hermoza Moquillaza, Rocío VictoriaObjective: to determine the clinical-epidemiological characteristics associated with COVID-19 in health personnel. Methodology: Quantitative, non-experimental, correlational study in health personnel of a Military Hospital in the city of Lima, using the database of research files for surveillance of COVID-19. Statistical analysis was obtained using SPSS 23.0v and Stata 17.0v. Results: Between March 15 and December 31, 2020, the prevalence of COVID-19 in health personnel was 271 (67.1%), of which 45.8% they are women; the average age of those confirmed was 45.3 years. Work occupation, contact with people with symptoms of acute respiratory infection or contact with a confirmed or probable case in the 14 days before the onset of symptoms, hospitalization, isolation, cough, sore throat, and other comorbidities were correlated with infection when presenting (p<0.05). The most affected personnel with 51.5% are assistance personnel: the nursing technician (18.3%), nurse (13.6%) and doctor (8.7%). 28% had contact with people with symptoms of acute respiratory infection and 19.1% reported having had contact with a confirmed or probable case in the 14 days before the onset of symptoms. 9.2% required hospitalization. Malaise (30%), sore throat (24.3%), cough (22.3%) were the most frequent symptoms. The characteristic that presented a significant association is the measure of isolation. Conclusion: certain clinical-epidemiological characteristics are associated with the COVID-19 disease in the health personnel of a Military Hospital in Lima, Peru.Publicación Acceso abierto Características clínico-epidemiológicas asociadas a condición de egreso de personas afectadas con tuberculosis multirresistente que recibieron bedaquilina durante 2016-2020 en Lima-Perú(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-04-02) Perea Moreno, Sara de Guadalupe; Benites Castillo, Santiago MoisesThe World Health Organization reports that of 10 million people who get sick with tuberculosis annually, almost half a million new cases have resistance to rifampicin; of which, 78% resulting in multi-resistance, becoming a global concern. The aim of this study was to determine the association between the clinical-epidemiological characteristics and treatment outcomes of people affected by multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. This was a retrospective cohort study in people affected by multidrug-resistant tuberculosis who received a treatment regimen that included bedaquiline between the years 2016 and 2020 in Lima, Peru and the potential factors associated with treatment otucomes were evaluated. Two hundred and fifty-five patients were included in the study. Eighty nine percent had successful treatment outcome. Age over 40 years, male gender, body mass index less than 18.5 and HIV coinfection were found to be independent factors associated with unsuccesful outcome. In this cohort, that included risk population (prior TB, previous use of second-line drugs, high drug resistance, people in prison, comorbidities), a high rate of favorable otucomes was obtained (89%), which highlights the importance of incorporating bedaquiline in treatment regimens. Age, male gender, body mass index and HIV were independent associated factors for unfavorable treament outcomes.Publicación Acceso abierto Complicación materna perinatal asociada con el diagnóstico de anemia, en un Centro de salud del Valle Sagrado, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-10-30) Amaut Chirinos, Silvia Katherine; Caycho Valencia, Félix AlbertoIn the study, the objective was to determine how the perinatal maternal complication is associated with the diagnosis of anemia. The method used in the study was deductive with a quantitative, analytical correlational approach and the design was non-experimental. The population was made up of the medical records of pregnant adolescents as adults who had a diagnosis of anemia and presented some perinatal maternal complication during their stay at the Valle Sagrado Health Center, with a total of 205 pregnant women. The results found in the study were: 71.7% had mild anemia and 28.3% had moderate anemia. The most frequent maternal complications are: urinary infection (17.6%), premature rupture of membranes (10.2%) and arterial hypertension (44%). The most frequent perinatal complications were: low birth weight (6.3%), premature birth (5.9%), and intrauterine growth retardation (3.9%). In the Rho Spearman statistical analysis, a direct and significant correlation was found between the dimensions of maternal complications (0.968; p=0.018) and perinatal complications (0.802; p=0.030) with the diagnosis of anemia in pregnant women. It is concluded that the perinatal maternal complication has a direct (0.990) and significant (p=0.014) correlation with the diagnosis of anemia in pregnant women treated at the Sacred Valley Health Center.Publicación Acceso abierto Desempeño y estrés laboral en tiempos de pandemia en el personal de salud de un hospital– Huaraz 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-03-31) Garcia Acosta, Jose Luis; Maguiña Palma, Misael EriksonObjective: To determine the relationship between performance and work stress in times of pandemic in health personnel. Methodology: The total sample consisted of 74 health professionals. The developed study was cross-sectional correlational, in which the relationship of the variables was established. Statistical analysis was performed using Spearman's Rho statistical test. Results: according to the work performance of the participants, where it is shown that, of the total number of respondents, only 6.8% presented a low work performance, 59.5% presented a regular work performance and 33.8% presented a good performance. the distribution of the participants according to the degree of stress of the participants, where 20.3% of the respondents presented a low level of stress, 63.5% presented a medium level of stress and only 16.2% of the participants have a high level of stress. Conclusion: It is concluded that there is a relationship between performance and work stress in times of pandemic in health personnel.Publicación Acceso abierto Dolor crónico y estado funcional en personas adultos mayores atendidas en el Centro de Atención Primaria II Huanta – ESSALUD 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-06-23) Alvarez Lavalle, Cruz del Rosario; Hermoza Moquillaza, Rocío VictoriaThe objective of this research was to "Determine the relationship between chronic pain and the functional status of the elderly at the II Huanta - Essalud 2023 primary care center ". Study with a quantitative correlational approach of a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 200 older adults from the Primary Care Center II Huanta - Essalud. The technique used for data collection was the survey, the instrument used was a questionnaire that included 11 questions: Barthel Index ten items and one question to measure the intensity of pain (VAS). Among the results, it was found that 44.7% of older adults suffer from functional dependency, of which 43.2% correspond to the level of mild dependency. A relationship was found between chronic pain and functional status according to the chi-square test with p=0.028. Regarding the ten dimensions of functional status, the activity of walking and going to the bathroom are related to chronic pain with p=0.003; p=0.044, respectively. Activities such as dressing, eating, washing, grooming and stool-urine control are not related to chronic pain. It is a hypothetical study - deductive, quantitative, correlational, of quasi-experimental design, its population was made up of all women diagnosed with breast cancer, at the hospitals Eleazar Guzmán Barrón, La caleta y Víctor Ramos Guardia of Ancash - Perú, from January to July 2022. Women older than or equal to 18 years of age were included, having received a diagnosis of breast cancer from January to July 2022, having the approval of their oncologist, and Having voluntarily accepted their participation in the study, through the Informed Consent, patients who were in the stage of metastasis, who were receiving treatment with anticoagulants and those who had some co-morbidity that prevented the execution of the established physical exercises were excluded in the program. The participants underwent a Physical Exercise Program with routines of Aerobic Exercises and Physical Exercises, which stimulated the improvement of the physical and psychological state. This Program has demonstrated its positive effect on the dimensions of Physical Well-being, Family Social Well-being, Emotional Well-being, Functional Well-being and on the Breast Subscale. Cusco, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-03-30) Sullca Palomino, Miriam; Caycho Valencia, Félix AlbertoThis research addresses the issue of prevention of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity through the implementation of a pilot training program and is also framed in the line of research Health and Wellness. To this end, the general objective was to determine the efficiency of the training program in the prevention of noncommunicable diseases during the period 2022. The methodology used was hypotheticaldeductive, with a quantitative approach and experimental design; the sample consisted of 135 police officers from the Anta police station in Cusco, and the instruments applied were a pre- and post-test and an evaluation of the training received. Among the main results, it was found that the police population is mainly young (23 to 32 years old), the training program had a high efficiency for 90.4% of the participants, and the change in results went from 25.9% in the pre-test with high impact to 93.3% after receiving the program. It was thus concluded that the training program is significantly efficient in the prevention of noncommunicable diseases, demonstrated by the Wilcoxon test with a Z value of -10.093 indicating a high difference between the pre-test and post-test time, and a significance level of 0.00 < 0.05 indicating significant impact. Affirming that the training program proposed in the study reduces risk factors, increases knowledge, and improves preventive measures of non-communicable diseases in police officers.
