Publicación Acceso abierto Actitudes y prácticas preventivas frente al cáncer de cuello uterino en mujeres atendidas en el Centro de Salud Santa María de Huachipa, 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-04-11) Fierro Paitampoma, Medali Migceli; Ibarra Saez, Yennifer Yuvitza; Reyes Serrano, Bertha NathalyObjetivo: Determinar la relación entre las actitudes y prácticas preventivas frente al cáncer de cuello uterino en mujeres atendidas en el Centro de Salud Santa María de Huachipa, 2024. Metodología: Hipotético - deductivo, de tipo básica, enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo, diseño no experimental, correlacional y corte transversal. El instrumento es un cuestionario, con una muestra de 92 mujeres. Resultados: Respecto a las características sociodemográficas, se registró que el 68.5% son menores de 35 años, el 57.6% son convivientes, el 62% tienen educación secundaria y el 58.7% se desempeña como ama de casa. En cuanto a las actitudes, el 53.3% presentó una actitud medianamente favorable, mientras que el 9.8% presentó una actitud desfavorable. Con respecto a las prácticas preventivas, el 87% presentaron una buena práctica y el 13% una mala práctica. En relación a la práctica preventiva primaria, el 79.3% presentó una buena práctica y el 20.7% una mala práctica. Por último, en práctica preventiva secundaria, el 81.5% presentó una buena práctica y solo el 18.5% una mala práctica. Conclusión: Sí existe una relación significativa entre las actitudes y las prácticas preventivas frente al cáncer del cuello uterino en mujeres atendidas en el Centro de Salud Santa María de Huachipa, 2024.Ítem Acceso abierto Clinical characteristics and factors associated with breast cancer(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-02-23) Quiroz Salvador, María De Los Ángeles; Caldas Herrera, Maria EvelinaIn the study, 31% of the reviewed articles used a cohort methodology. Regarding the clinical characteristics of women with breast cancer according to the studies: 27% reported severe pain, 21% mentioned redness, 16% indicated foul-smelling discharge, 11% reported nipple retraction, 7% found reduced sexual activity, 5% reported reduced physical activity, 5% mentioned fatigue, 2% mentioned reduced pleasure, 2% reported hair loss, 2% mentioned insomnia, and 2% reported increased nipple thickness. The associated factors according to the studies were: age over 35 years, harmful habits (alcohol and tobacco consumption), environmental radiation, secondary education level, body mass index greater than 30 kg/m², nulliparity, hormonal treatment, lack of interest in the disease, and lack of medical attention.Ítem Acceso abierto Factors that influence the practice of Exclusive Breastfeeding in Puerperas: Review of Publications 2010-2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-12-16) Fernandez Inoñan, Juvitza Alexandra; Reyes Serrano, Bertha NathalyObjective: To identify the main scientific evidence available on the factors influencing the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in postpartum women between 2011 and 2021. Methodology synthesis: The study had a qualitative approach and was based on a review of publications. Data analysis was conducted through searches of original articles from various virtual databases: ProQuest, Scielo, REDALYC, Dialnet, and PubMed. A total of 30 articles were selected based on eligibility criteria. The GRADE system was used to assess the quality of the evidence and the strength of recommendations in each article. Results: The factors influencing exclusive breastfeeding practice were primarily social, including age, education level, marital status, and family environment. Biological factors were related to the physical formation of the breasts and the mother's primary occupation in economic terms. Conclusions: It was concluded that significant factors influence the practice of exclusive breastfeeding, supported by high-quality scientific evidence.Ítem Acceso abierto Influence of obstetric psychoprophylaxis on attitude during the active phase of labor in adolescent primigravidas at Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho in 2014(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-07) Oscanoa Sampen, Laura Ines; Caldas Herrera, Maria EvelinaThe present research was conducted at the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital with the objective of determining the influence of "Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis on Attitude During the Active Phase of Labor in Adolescent Primiparous Women at the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital in 2014." Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive, observational, and cross-sectional study conducted with a population of 122 pregnant women. The influence of obstetric psychoprophylaxis on the attitude of pregnant women during the active phase of labor was compared between 54 women who received obstetric psychoprophylaxis and the group that did not. The instrument used for evaluation was a validated test to assess attitude during labor. Results: Of the participants who received preparation, 72% demonstrated good relaxation, while 96% of the group without psychoprophylaxis did not achieve good relaxation. Moreover, 80% of pregnant women with psychoprophylaxis breathed properly, compared to 94% of the group without preparation, who did not breathe properly. Additionally, 93% of the group with preparation identified and managed contractions, unlike the group without preparation, where only 28% identified and managed contractions. Among those prepared, only 20% required the presence of a person during labor, compared to 97% of the unprepared group who required someone by their side. Conclusion: Psychoprophylactic preparation significantly influences the attitude of adolescent pregnant women during the active phase of labor. Methodology: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 268 pregnant women. Data collection was performed using a survey technique, and the instrument was a structured questionnaire to measure the level of knowledge and attitudes of the participants. Results: The average age found was 27 years, representing 59% of the sample. A total of 38% of the pregnant women had one child, and 46% were illiterate or had only basic education. About 39% engaged in independent work, primarily as merchants. A total of 36% and 23% initiated their prenatal care in the second and third trimesters, respectively. Among the participants, 193 had fewer than six prenatal check-ups, while only 75 had six or more, which is the minimum required to consider a pregnancy adequately monitored. Regarding knowledge, over 60% of the participants demonstrated very good knowledge about prenatal examinations, nutrition, relaxation exercises (psychoprophylaxis), warning signs, and complications. Concerning attitudes, more than 45% fully agreed on aspects such as perceived beliefs, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, and cues to action. Conclusions: The sociodemographic characteristics of the participants were women aged 18 to 29 years, with one child, married, with primary education, and engaged in independent work. Most began prenatal care in the first trimester, with an average of one prenatal check-up. The level of knowledge about prenatal care among the pregnant women was classified as "very good," and their attitudes were classified as "fully agreeable."Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and attitudes about sexually transmitted infections in adolescent pregnant women at María Auxiliadora Hospital during the period of June – November 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-03-08) Huaman Melchor, Joselyn Michelle; Milian Monterrey, Janeth Roxana; Ayala Mendivil, Ronald EspirituObjective: To determine the level of knowledge and attitude about sexually transmitted infections in adolescent pregnant women at María Auxiliadora Hospital from June to November 2017. Materials and Method: Observational descriptive study, cross-sectional design, with a sample of 325 adolescent pregnant women. Results: The average age was 16 years, with 54.5% living with a partner, 44.3% being single, and 1.2% married. 90.8% had a secondary education level, and 70.8% were homemakers. 87% of the adolescent pregnant women had a high level of knowledge, 9% had a medium level of knowledge, and 4% had a low level of knowledge about sexually transmitted infections. It was found that the overall attitude of the adolescent pregnant women towards sexually transmitted infections was 91% favorable (they seek to prevent), 6% unfavorable (they do not prevent), and 3% indifferent. Conclusion: The adolescent pregnant women at María Auxiliadora Hospital have a high level of knowledge about sexually transmitted infections, except for a lack of knowledge about vertical transmission. The adolescent pregnant women at María Auxiliadora Hospital have a favorable attitude toward preventing sexually transmitted infections.Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge, attitudes, and practices on exclusive breastfeeding in primiparous women at Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-03-10) Ramos Tomayro, Flor De Maria; Salcedo Suárez, Katty LeticiaIn the present study, a methodology is used to determine the sociodemographic, cultural, and economic characteristics of women over 18 years old who had an abortion at the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital between January and October of 2015. It was revealed that the sociodemographic characteristics include: early age, cohabiting marital status, secondary education level, currently working, being from the coastal region, residing in El Agustino, and experiencing psychological family pressure due to economic instability. Additionally, the cultural characteristics highlighted include: machismo, due to the lack of partner participation in household chores, a situation unfortunately justified by the respondents; and the Catholic religion, which most respondents profess. Finally, the most notable economic characteristics are: a monthly income between 600 and 1000 soles, monthly expenses less than 600 soles, three people living in the household, no economic dependency, two family members contributing to household expenses, and living in a brick-built house. La metodología de estudio fue hipotético deductivo con diseño no experimental, de enfoque cuantitativo, de nivel correlacional, de corte transversal, la muestra estuvo constituida por 80 padres de familia, la técnica fue la encuesta y el instrumento se aplicaron 2 cuestionarios. En los resultados se reflejó una correlación de Pearson positiva muy fuerte de (0.942** entre la variable Percepción de prevención sobre el VPH y Actitud de prevención sobre el VPH, considerando que son directamente proporcionales. It has a qualitative approach, as data and selected information are described with a level of error and confidence. Study scope: This research analyzed journals and original articles from databases such as REDIB, Revista Internacional de Salud Materna Fetal, ALICIA, Scielo, and Google Scholar, with a maximum antiquity of seven years. If necessary, the Ministry of Health, among other organizations, has been working together with health personnel to respect and put into practice, at the rural and urban level, their customs, beliefs and rights. Today, there are guidelines to facilitate intercultural adaptation and relevance, as well as assertive transmission through the constant training of Doctors and Obstetricians, to provide appropriate care and information to pregnant women in our country. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study is to determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and attitudes of vertical birth in pregnant women treated at the José Carlos Mariátegui Maternal and Child Center, 2023. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Correlational, quantitative study, non-experimental design of cross section. The population was made up of 120 pregnant women. The information was obtained through surveys that were divided into 4 parts: knowledge of vertical birth, attitude of pregnant women towards vertical birth, obstetric and sociodemographic data in 21 open questions adapted to the Estanones scale. RESULTS: Data from 120 pregnant women between 18 and 37 years of age from the José Carlos Mariátegui Maternal and Child Center were analyzed. In this study, it was found that 64 (53%) of these. They presented a medium level of knowledge, 72 (60%) of them obtained a regular attitude, which certified a characteristic relationship according to the Rho equal to 0.864 between knowledge and the attitude of the pregnant women. CONCLUSION: Consequently, a high and directly proportional relationship was observed between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards vertical birth in the women attended at the José Carlos Mariátegui Maternal and Child Center.
