MATERIAL AND METHOD: Systematic observational and retrospective review, the search has been restricted to articles with full text, using Jover's evaluation to identify its level of evidence. The systematic review of the 10 scientific articles evidenced on the effectiveness of the use of cervical collar in polytraumatized patients to prevent sequelae and disabilities, were obtained from the following databases Pubmed, Medline, Embase, Cochrane Library, Dialnet, Scielo, and Lilacs . They were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine the strength and quality of the evidence. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 70% (7/10) demonstrate that the effectiveness of the use of cervical collar in polytraumatized patients in the short term prevents sequelae and disabilities, in immobilization and transportation from the scene of an accident to the hospital; and 30% (3/10) show that the use of cervical collar in long-term polytraumatized patients produces cerebral edema, pressure ulcers, muscle exhaustion, jugular and tissue venous pressure. Conclusions: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 7 of 10 show that the use of cervical collar in polytrauma patients in the short term is effective for immobilization and transportation from the scene of an accident to the hospital; and 3 out of 10 show that the use of the cervical collar in long-term polytraumatized patients produces cerebral edema, pressure ulcers, muscle exhaustion, jugular and tissue venous pressure.Ítem Acceso abierto Efficacy of Early Dual Antiplatelet Treatment in Stroke Patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-09) Flores Mory, Elvis Valeriano; Ramirez Tafur, Maria Alejandra; Gamarra Bustillos, CarlosObjectives: systematize evidence on the effectiveness of early treatment with dual antiplatelet therapy in patients with stroke. Three tests were used: the five times sit-to-stand test, the maximum reach test in sitting, and the Tinetti test. These tests were conducted in January and February of 2022 on 90 eligible participants at the Senior Citizens' Center in Huancayo who agreed to participate in the study. Exclusion criteria included dependence for movement and perception issues. After tabulating the results, issues related to strength and flexibility were identified, as well as fall risk levels. However, the relationship between the study variables was inconsistent, which was attributed to the inadequacy of the tests used for this population. It was recommended to complement these tests with others in future studies.Ítem Acceso abierto Functionality of the wrist and range of motion of the upper limb in patients with distal radius fracture at a polyclinic in the city of Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-05-19) Huamaní Gutierrez, Ruth Evelyn; Arrieta Córdova, Andy FreudDistal radius fractures are significant at all social levels, ages, and occupations. The WHO states that post-menopausal women are a group for which bone densitometry should be considered. In the elderly, it occurs due to balance loss, while in young people, it results from high-impact activities. Furthermore, a lack of medical attention, where patients wait for an appointment or a referral for treatment or plaster removal, progressively affects the functionality of the upper limb. Objective: To determine the relationship between wrist functionality and upper limb range of motion in patients with distal radius fractures at a polyclinic in Lima, 2022. Materials and methods: A Patient-Rated Wrist Evaluation (PRWE) questionnaire was used to assess functionality, and goniometry was employed to measure angles. The research method was hypothetical-deductive with a cross-sectional correlational study design, focusing on a population aged 18 to 80 years, with inclusion and exclusion criteria.Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and practice of nurses in the management of polytraumatized patients due to traffic accidents in a hospital in Metropolitan Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-09) Puican Alarcón, Kattia Juliana; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoIntroduction: Currently, traffic accident statistics have increased worldwide, this amounts to 70%, data that constantly alarm the population. Workplace accidents help reduce the severity of injuries, but there are different types and forms, each with its own purpose and use. Personal protective factors prevent the employee from being directly exposed to the risk agents exposed in the course of their work activities, even if it is proven that the worker does not use them. “Resistance to the use of personal protective equipment among workers at the “Torres” carpentry shop is one of the most common obstacles that we discovered in charge of advising and verifying the use of equipment. Rejection is caused by a variety of factors, such as annoyance, resistance to change, embarrassment or employee behavior, I don't know, I don't know or I can't. The verification of the practical, effective and reliable tool that can measure not only the worker's tolerance for protective equipment, but also the classification scale was carried out. Its objective is to determine the relationship that exists between the work environment and the work performance of the workers of the public institution - Huánuco. Having as a design: correlational type of research, transversal descriptive type, deductive method, with a quantitative approach, research design is non-experimental. Which will take place in the public institution Huánuco-Peru. With a total of 100 workers who simultaneously represent the study sample. To collect the data, the questionnaires from the worker's work environment scale - WEIS will be applied and at the same time the results of the evaluation of the workers' work performance, which is carried out monthly, evaluating their transversal competencies, will be received. To carry out the data analysis, a matrix will be created in Microsoft Excel 2013 where the data that will be extracted will be poured into. To carry out the statistical analysis of the data, the frequency distribution will be used, calculating measures of central tendency, such as median, mean and percentages, measures of dispersion, in the same way the range and standard deviation in quantitative variables.
