En conclusión, la CF y el AS están significativamente relacionados, siendo necesario implementar intervenciones multidisciplinarias que promuevan ambos aspectos para mejorar la calidad de vida de esta población vulnerable.Ítem Acceso abierto Cognitive impairment and socio-family support in the elderly attending the National Hospital Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen – Geriatrics Day Hospital.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2013) Cerda Fernández, Janeth Roxana; Estrada Peralta, Giovanna Maribel; Mocarro Aguilar, María RosarioObjective: To determine the relationship between cognitive impairment and the level of socio-familial support in older adults attending the Day Hospital of Geriatrics. Results: The articles found, 14 of them, indicate that the factors that influence depression in the elderly are: 1.- Socio-demographic factor (female sex, incomplete primary education, illiteracy, grief, chronic degenerative diseases, entry into residence, fear to death, neurological and psychiatric disorders, marital status, high levels of anxiety, institutionalized less than 1 year), 2.- Economic Factor: low income, type of home, poor social support, dependency economic3.- ABVD factor: functional dependence, sedentary lifestyle, partially dependent women, dependence on some of the ABVD, polypharmacy, urinary incontinence, falls, sleep disorder. Conclusion: The socio-demographic, economic and ABDL factors described in the results influence depression in older adults. The same process of institutionalization has been documented by some authors as a trigger for depressive processes, and some authors propose how institutionalization in residences is associated with factors that favor the appearance of depressive symptoms or symptoms and that can lead to an increase in the prevalence of this process.Ítem Acceso abierto Functional capacity and social support in patients from a public geriatric center, San Miguel, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-06) Chávez Rodríguez, María Amalia; Puma Chombo, Jorge EloyA global phenomenon is demographic aging, which involves a gradual decline in functional capacities as people age, requiring support in their daily tasks. Additionally, a reduction in social participation has a negative effect on their overall well-being. A fragmented social environment can lead to negative emotions such as apathy and sadness, increasing the risk of developing issues that affect both physical and mental health and the ability to carry out daily activities. This study aims to determine the relationship between functional capacity and social support in patients at a public geriatric center. A non-experimental, applied methodology will be employed, using a correlational cross-sectional design, with the Barthel Index to assess functional capacity and the MOS Social Support Questionnaire to measure social support.Ítem Acceso abierto Needs of the family of the critical patient in the intensive care unit of the Hipólito Unanue national hospital, Lima 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-10-11) Villegas Pariona, Sonia Cristina; Bonilla Asalde, César AntonioThis work has a quantitative approach, descriptive level, cross-sectional; It will be carried out in order to determine the needs of the family of the critical patient in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital, regarding the degree of importance. The greater life expectancy, along with the decline in birth rates, is the main cause of aging among the world's population. There is an urgent need for comprehensive government action regarding the aging of the population. In this regard, basic modifications are necessary; it is not enough to focus on what we do, but also on how we perceive aging. 2 billion is the number of individuals who will be 60 years or older by 2050, with 80% of people aged 60 or older expected to live in low- and middle-income countries by 2050. With a life expectancy of 75 years, the estimated increase in life expectancy occurs when we think positively about aging. Various studies have shown that the quality of life of older adults is related to having a long life and the socio-demographic scenarios, which refer to different generalities based on their social or community well-being, and even aspects related to personality and individual or group temperament. The objective of the study is: To determine the relationship between social support and quality of life in older adults at the Casa los Abuelos Geriatric Center in 2020. Methodology: Quantitative-correlational, cross-sectional study; the sample population consists of 70 older adults. Data collection will use two validated forms; to measure the first variable, social support, the questionnaire validated by Deyvi Baca R. (Trujillo 2016) with a significant reliability level of 0.94 according to Cronbach's Alpha will be used, and for the quality of life variable, the questionnaire validated by De la Cruz (Lima 2014) will be used, with Cronbach's Alpha reliability yielding a result of 0.86, ensuring the instrument's reliability. Statistical analysis will be performed using the SPSS program.Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship of social support and activities of daily living in the older adult of the Geronto-Geriatric Residential Care Center Ignacia Rodulfo Vda. de Canevaro, Lima 2018.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-09-20) Flores Ponce, Claudia Gabriela; Delgado Calle, Diana; Vásquez Cevallos, Josefa EdithObjective: To determine the relationship between social support and activities of daily living in older adults at the Geronto-Geriatric Residential Care Center Ignacia Rodulfo Vda. de Canevaro Lima-2018.
