    Anemia as a risk for psychomotor development in children under five years old

    Objective: Systematize the evidence about the risk of anemia that produces alterations in the psychomotor development of boys and girls under five years of age. Materials and Methods: Systematic review [SR], in a sample of 10 scientific publications, with a history of no more than five years and that responded to international and national published titles, in Spanish and English. Results: In this study, 10 articles were selected, where it is found that 60% (06/10) correspond to Colombia, Paraguay, Cuba, Peru, and Spain, while with 40% (04/10) we find Chile and Mexico, respectively. Mostly cross-sectional analytical studies have been studied with 40%, in Colombia, Argentina, Cuba and Paraguay, Peru with 10% contributed 1 quasi-experimental study, Cuba with 10% contributed 1 case and control study, Chile with 10% contributed 1 cohort study, Mexico with 10% contributed 1 randomized study respectively. Spain and Chile with 20% provided cross-sectional descriptive studies. Conclusions: The study concluded that anemia affects the psychomotor development of boys and girls under five years old, affecting their growth and learning.

    Asociación entre oclusión decidua, tiempo de lactancia materna y hábitos de succión no nutritiva en preescolares de la IEI 652-02 Santa Rosa de Lima, 2024

    El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo general “Determinar la asociación entre la oclusión decidua, el tiempo de lactancia materna y los hábitos de succión no nutritiva en preescolares de la IEI 652-02 Santa Rosa de Lima durante el año 2024”. La muestra estuvo conformada por 132 preescolares de entre 3 y 5 años, junto con sus madres o tutores legales. Se utilizó una técnica de muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple. El enfoque del estudio fue cuantitativo, con un diseño observacional, transversal y prospectivo, basado en el método hipotético-deductivo. La recopilación de datos se realizó en un único momento temporal para analizar las relaciones entre variables mediante técnicas estadísticas. Los resultados evidenciaron que no existió asociación significativa entre la oclusión decidua, el tiempo de lactancia materna y los hábitos de succión no nutritiva (p > 0.05). Sin embargo, se observó una mayor prevalencia de maloclusiones en niñas (12.1%) en comparación con niños (6.1%). El hábito de succión del dedo fue el más frecuente entre los hábitos no nutritivos, afectando al 10.6% de los niños y al 9.8% de las niñas. En conclusión, aunque no se identificaron relaciones significativas entre las variables estudiadas, se subraya la importancia de implementar programas preventivos en edades tempranas para reducir los factores de riesgo relacionados con la oclusión decidua y promover una adecuada salud bucal desde la infancia.

    Conocimiento materno sobre loncheras saludables de niños menores de 5 años en la Institución Educativa 2039 Jorge Víctor Castilla Montero del distrito de Independencia - Lima 2024

    Objetivo: Medir el nivel de conocimiento materno sobre loncheras saludables en la I.E. 2039 Jorge Víctor Castilla Montero del Distrito de Independencia, Lima 2024. Materiales y métodos: El método de la investigación fue mixto, el enfoque de la investigación descriptivo, el tipo de investigación que se usó fue no experimental de diseño corte transversal. En el estudio se evaluó a 106 madres de la I.E. 2039 Jorge Víctor Castilla Montero del Distrito de Independencia las cuales cumplieron con los requisitos de exclusión e inclusión. La técnica utilizada para la recolección de los datos fue una encuesta virtual, la cual constaba de 20 preguntas. Resultados: Entre los hallazgos más importantes se evidenció que el 43% de las madres tenía un conocimiento medio en el nivel global de conocimiento sobre loncheras saludables, mientras que un 22% mostraron un nivel alto y un 35% un nivel bajo. Por otro lado, en los conocimientos generales sobre las loncheras saludables se encontró que el 68% de madres poseía un nivel alto; el 25%, un nivel medio; y el 8% un nivel bajo. Referente a los conocimientos sobre los alimentos energéticos, proteicos y grasos, se obtuvo entre los porcentajes más resaltantes un 67% nivel medio, 57% nivel alto y 100% nivel alto respectivamente. Conclusiones: Las madres poseían un nivel adecuado sobre el conocimiento de loncheras saludables, ello corroborado en los resultados expuestos.

    Effectiveness of a multidisciplinary educational program aimed at mothers' self-efficacy for complying with breastfeeding in children under 6 months

    Objective: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of a multidisciplinary educational program aimed at mothers in self-efficacy, for compliance with breastfeeding in children under 6 months Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review, which synthesizes the results of various investigations; The population is made up of 10 scientific articles; Of all the articles that were found, the most important were included according to level of evidence and the least relevant were excluded. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, corresponding to systematic reviews 20% (02), case and control studies 30 % (03), analytical cross-sectional 20% (02), randomized clinical trial 30% (03). Where of the total number of articles analyzed, 80% (n= 08/10) show that both the educational programs developed on self-efficacy are effective for breastfeeding compliance. Conclusions: It was evident that multidisciplinary educational programs aimed at mothers for breastfeeding self-efficacy are effective, since they allow the mother to acquire the confidence to be able to comply and initiate breastfeeding early, as well as determine continuity exclusively; generating that the boy or girl can develop and grow adequately, as well as reducing the morbidity of the minor.

    Effectiveness of micronutrient administration in preschool children for the prevention of anemia.

    Objective: To analyze the evidence regarding the effectiveness of micronutrient administration in preschool children for the prevention of anemia. Materials and Methods: Observational, prospective systematic review of literature. The search was conducted in full-text articles. Ten articles were selected, corresponding to a period from 2013 to 2017; among the included articles are systematic reviews, meta-analyses, randomized clinical trials, and cohort studies, focusing on the prevention of anemia through micronutrient intake. Results: Ten articles were selected, which show significant improvements in nutritional status indicators with micronutrient supplementation, leading to more positive outcomes in reducing anemia. Conclusions: Micronutrients are significantly effective in the treatment and prevention of iron-deficiency anemia, and the fortification of certain foods provides benefits in improving anemia in children.

    Effectiveness of music therapy in improving psychomotor development in children under 3 years

    Objective: to systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of music therapy to improve psychomotor development in children under 3 years of age. Material and Methods: Systematic observational and retrospective quantitative study subjected to critical selection, using the Grade evaluation system to identify the grade, the search was carried out for the articles where 10 articles were selected, where the degree of evidence found was included. in the following databases: pubmed, Scielo, google academic, dialnet. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 20% (n= 2/10) are systematic reviews, 10% (n= 1/10) are meta-analysis, 30% (n= 3/10) are cohort studies, 20 %(n=2/10) randomized controlled trial study, 10% (n= 1/10) is a descriptive study and 10% (n= 1/10) is a quantitative study. They come from the countries of Peru (30%), followed by Mexico (20%), Spain (10%), USA (10%), Ecuador (10%), (10 %) Chile, and Brazil (10%).Conclusion: It is concluded from the studies analyzed that through music therapy it has a significant result in the psychomotor growth of children, preventing disorders and deficits in children under 3 years of age.

    Effectiveness of non-pharmacological techniques for post-vaccination pain relief in children under 5 years old

    Objective: Systematize evidence on the effectiveness of non-pharmacological techniques for the relief of post-vaccination pain in children under 5 years of age. Methodology: Observational and retrospective systematic review. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, finding that 30% (03) correspond to Canada, followed by 30% (03) we find Turkey, while with 20% (02) we find Spain, and the United States United respectively. Most of the systematic reviews found are equivalent to 40%, in the country of Canada and Turkey. Among the randomized clinical trials we find the countries of Spain, Turkey and the United States, with 30%. And with 20% we have systematic reviews and 10% are quasi-experimental studies taking into account the country of Turkey. Finding a total of articles analyzed, 80% affirm that the use of non-pharmacological techniques is effective for the relief of post-vaccination pain in children under 5 years of age. Conclusions: The research reviewed found that the effectiveness of the use of non-pharmacological techniques in relieving post-vaccination pain in children under 5 years of age was found to be effective. The effectiveness of knowledge of these techniques in relieving post-vaccination pain was demonstrated.

    Effectiveness of nursing training to reduce anemia in children under five years of age

    The design used to develop this research work was the systematic review, which was based on the GRADE evaluation system to evaluate the quality of the evidence of the articles selected from the following databases: Epistemonikos, PubMed, ScientDirect, Cochrane and Ebsco. Results: The reviewed articles showed that 30% are systematic reviews, 20% are systematic reviews and meta-analysis, 10% are randomized controlled trials, 10% are randomized field studies, 10% are randomized clinical trial, 10% quasi-experimental design and 10% controlled intervention. On the other hand, in 90% of the articles evidence was found of the effectiveness of nursing training to reduce anemia in children under five years of age, while 10% did not find evidence regarding the effectiveness of nursing training. to reduce anemia in children under five years of age. Conclusion: Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed in (9/10) it was found that there is effectiveness of nursing training to reduce anemia in children under five years of age.

    Effectiveness of reminder system and parent education interventions to improve immunization coverage and demand in children under 5 years of age

    Objective: Systematize the evidence about the effectiveness of the reminder system and educational intervention aimed at parents to improve vaccination coverage and demand for children under 5 years of age. Material and Methods: The population constituted by the systematic review of 70 published scientific articles from which 10 articles collected from the database were taken as a sample; Pubmed, Sciencedirect, Redalyc, Cochrane Database, Dialnet, Scopus, BMC Public Health and references from other studies, all of them correspond to the quantitative type, high quality study design and strong recommendation strength 85% and only 15% of moderate strength . Results The 10 studies reviewed conclude that the reminder system and education strategies are effective in improving the acceptance of childhood immunization and increasing immunization rates. Likewise, together with education, they contribute to strengthening parents' knowledge, dispelling their doubts and fears, helps to improve their intention to vaccinate and their confidence in the vaccination decision. Conclusion: In general, in the studies reviewed, it was observed that applying the strategy through reminder systems, education and the combination of both can improve the level knowledge about vaccination and benefits, also improve the decision and acceptance of childhood vaccination.

    Effectiveness of two doses of varicella vaccine to prevent cases in children under five years old

    Objective: To analyze the available evidence on the effectiveness of two doses of chickenpox vaccine to prevent cases in children under 5 years of age Materials and Methods: Systematic observational and retrospective quantitative review, they are an essential part of evidence-based nursing due to their Rigorous methodology, the search has been restricted to articles with full text, and the selected articles were subjected to critical reading, using the Grade evaluation system to assign the strength of recommendation. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, we found that 50% (05) correspond to the United States, with 20% (02) we found in China, with 20% (02) Spain, while (10%) ) corresponds to Germany Most of the studies are cases and controls with 40%, mainly in the countries of Spain, the United States. Among Meta-analysis we find the countries United States and China, with 30%. Among others we have Cohort Studies with 30% belonging to Spain, the United States and Germany. Of the total number of articles analyzed, 100% affirm that both doses of the chickenpox vaccine are effective in preventing cases in children under 5 years of age. Conclusions: It was shown that two doses of chickenpox vaccine to prevent cases in children under five years of age are effective. A high percentage of protection was shown in children over time; generating higher levels of immunogenicity, and allowing the boy or girl not to develop the disease.

    Effects of an early stimulation program on motor and cognitive development in children under 5 years old

    Objective: To systematize the evidence on the effects of an early stimulation program on motor and cognitive development in children under 5 years of age. Material and Methods: Systematic Reviews are an observational and retrospective research design, which synthesizes the results of research. They are an essential part of Evidence-Based Nursing because of the methodology, identifying relevant studies to answer specific questions about clinical practice. The following databases were used: Journal, Scielo, Cochrane Plus, Enfer Index, Medplus, Pub Med. Results: 10 articles were selected and we found that 40% were from Peru, 10% from Iran, 10% from Colombia, 10% from Canada, 10% from Brazil, 10% from Norway, and 10% from China. The reviewed studies are based on systematic reviews with 10%, RCTs with 40%, quasi-experimental studies with 20% and experimental studies with 30%. Conclusions: Health entities should protocolize the guidelines for early stimulation care in children, to create strategies with positive evidence in the adequate use of early stimulation techniques by health personnel in the care of healthy children and to identify those who are at risk of psychomotor development.

    Evaluación de los cambios en el pH salival después de la ingesta de dos bebidas industrializadas en escolares de una institución privada, Lima 2023

    El presente estudio tuvo como finalidad evaluar los cambios del pH salival después de la ingesta de dos bebidas industrializadas en escolares de una institución privada, Lima 2023. Se aplicó un enfoque cuantitativo y un diseño no experimental de tipo transversal, con una muestra que se basó en 83 niños estudiantes de un colegio privado a quienes se le tomo muestras salivales antes y después de brindar dos tipos de bebidas industrializadas comerciales en los niños. Los resultados obtenidos revelaron que sí existe relación significativa en el cambio del pH salival después de la ingestión de las dos bebidas industrializadas en los escolares (Rho = 0,841; p-valor = 0,000). Además, se encontró que hay un cambio de pH salival con un rango positivo media entre las variables del estudio pH salival y bebida industrializada (Rho = 0,244; p-valor = 0,026). En conclusión, se dispuso que sí existe un cambio de pH salival luego de la ingesta de las bebidas industrializadas en los escolares a los 15 minutos y a los 30 minutos obteniendo una recuperación del pH salival por la capacidad buffer de la saliva.

    External factors and language development in preschool children at San Judas Tadeo Early Education Institution in the district of Breña

    Objective: To determine the external factors influencing the language development of preschool children at the San Judas Tadeo Initial Educational Institution in the Breña district. Method: Descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional study. The total population consisted of 54 children. The instruments used were the Psychomotor Development Test (TEPSI) and a questionnaire to identify external factors. Results: The statistical test ANOVA was used to analyze the socioeconomic external factors. Among the main characteristics, 55.6% (n=30) of mothers worked, 37.0% (n=20) had a family income between 1000 and 1499, and regarding the caregiver, 53.7% (n=29) were parents. Among the cultural external factors, 79.6% (n=43) of the children were exposed to infantilized language sometimes or always, and 46.3% (n=25) corrected their child’s expressions sometimes. Regarding psycho-affective external factors, 72.2% (n=39) sometimes overprotected their child, 16.6% (n=9) always overprotected, and 50% (n=27) sometimes corrected through punishment. Regarding language development, 81.5% (n=44) showed normal development, 14.8% (n=8) were at risk, and 3.7% (n=2) exhibited delayed development. Conclusion: The study concluded that external factors influence the language development of preschool children.

    Factores asociados a la anemia, en niños menores de cinco años atendidos en el Centro de Salud Aucallama, 2023-2024

    El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo principal establecer la relación entre los factores asociados y la presencia de anemia, en niños menores de cinco años atendidos en el CS Aucallama, durante el período 2023-2024. Para ello se aplicó un diseño de estudio no experimental, transversal y de enfoque retrospectivo; así mismo, se tuvo un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia, en la cual se obtuvo información a través de historias clínicas de los niños atendidos en el año 2023 y 2024, la cual fue llenada en una ficha de recolección de datos respetando el anonimato de cada usuarios, la ficha fue dividida en 3 dimensiones: factores sociodemográficos, antecedentes de salud y entorno de vivienda. Se obtuvo 100 registros completos de niños con anemia y 199 registros completos de niños sin anemia. El análisis estadístico demostró con mayor asociación (0R: 10,26) a contar con servicios básicos de agua y desagüe en viviendas, como factor protector frente a la anemia. Por tanto, se concluye que contar con dichos servicios influye en la presencia o ausencia de anemia de niños menores de cinco años, entre otros factores con menor asociación.

    Factores relacionados al cumplimiento del control de crecimiento y desarrollo en niños de un centro de salud de Chachapoyas 2023

    Objetivo: Establecer los factores relacionados al cumplimiento del control de crecimiento y desarrollo en niños de un Centro de Salud de Chachapoyas 2023. Metodología: Fue una investigación descriptiva correlacional de método deductivo. Participaron 144 madres y/o tutores. Para comprobar las suposiciones se utilizó el ensayo de Spearman medida no paramétrica de correspondencia que ayudo a describir la correspondencia entre las dos variables. La información fue recolectada mediante el interrogatorio: Elementos sociodemográfico para el desempeño en el CRED. Para el análisis de datos se empleó del software IBM SPSS Statistics versión 26.0. Resultado: Los factores sociodemográficos e institucionales se relacionan significativamente con el cumplimiento del control, destacando los primeros. Conclusión: Existe una relación significativa fuerte y directa entre los factores en el cumplimiento de asistencia del control y crecimiento de los niños.

    Factors associated with chronic malnutrition in children under five years of age in the pediatrics service, in a regional hospital, 2022

    The objective of this research will be to determine the factors associated with chronic malnutrition in children under five years of age in the pediatric service of the El Carmen Regional Maternal and Child Teaching Hospital. It will be a study with a quantitative approach, of an applied type, with a cutting-edge observational correlational design. transversal, since it will allow measuring the level of association that exists between both variables. There is a population of 112 hospitalized children under five years of age with chronic malnutrition and a sample of 88 children in whom the questionnaire and the anthropometric assessment sheet will be applied as instruments for data collection, subsequently the analysis test will be used. Chi Square test to determine the association of some factors with the presence of chronic malnutrition.

    In this research, the objective is to determine the relationship between the family environment and the language development of 3-year-old children from the AAHH San Fernando, Surquillo, April – July 2018. Materials and methods: The study conducted is quantitative in approach, descriptive correlational in type, and cross-sectional in design. The population consisted of 44 families, and the instruments used were the HOME inventory and the TEPSI test. Results: It was found that the family environment of the study population is predominantly inadequate, with 38.64% of families, where 31.82% of their children show delays in language development and 43.18% are at risk. Furthermore, 34.09% of families had an adequate environment, with 25% of their children showing normal language development and 9% at risk. Lastly, in the moderate family environment, 27.27% of families had children with 23% at risk and 5% with delays. The results and the hypothesis approval were obtained through the Chi-square statistical test, where the P value is 0.000.
