Ítem Acceso abierto Application of biosecurity measures and occupational accidents in emergency service nurses in a national hospital, Lima - 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-21) Echegaray León, Anais Rosa Elizabeth; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos AntonioIntroduction: Ensuring the integrity and comfort of nursing professionals in emergency situations is essential to ensure that medical care is of high quality and to protect both the health of patients and the workers themselves. With this purpose in mind, this research has the following objective: "To determine the relationship between the application of biosafety measures and occupational accidents among nurses in the emergency department of a national hospital in Lima in the year 2024". Methodology: This study is framed in an applied methodology, adopting a nonexperimental, correlational and cross-sectional design. The study population will consist of 80 nurses and the information will be collected through the survey technique, using questionnaires validated by expert judgment. The instruments selected to assess the variables of interest were adapted and validated by Casabona in 2021 and Barreto et al. in 2023. These questionnaires address specific dimensions. The reliability for the variable "Application of biosafety measures" was Cronbach's Alpha = 0.79. For the variable "Occupational accidents in nurses" a reliability coefficient of 0.836 was obtained according to Cronbach's Alpha. The data collection will be processed in a double-entry matrix created in Excel and the analysis will be carried out using SPSS software version 26.0. The results will be presented in a clear manner by presenting tables and/or graphs and finally the correlation between both variables will be sought to be established, using descriptive and inferential statistics, as appropriate.Ítem Acceso abierto Application of biosecurity measures for nursing personnel against biological risks present in the surgical center service of EsSalud, Cañete, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-03-07) Espinoza Cardenas, Lucia del Rosario; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaNursing is the profession that cares for all phases of a human being's life, but it is in the Surgical Center where they are most vulnerable and where physical integrity must prevail reciprocally, which is why they are exposed to the transmission of microorganism, directly or indirectly, which must be protected with biological, physical and chemical barriers. Although national and international organizations have established biosafety measures for work practices, risks continue to increase. Objective: Determine the application of the biosafety measures of Nursing Personnel against the Biological Risks present in the Surgical Center service, of ESSALUD - Cañete, 2021. Methodological Design: It has a quantitative approach, it will be descriptive, a non-experimental, prospective and finally cross-sectional design. We will begin to collect data, once the COVID-19 pandemic is stable and controlled in our country, the procedures related to authorization will be implemented. The following aspects were considered in the study: conventional data, taking into account its classification in 3 dimensions, including physical barriers, chemical barriers and elimination of sharp and/or contaminated materials.Ítem Acceso abierto Attitude and application of biosafety standards by nursing personnel in critical areas of the Hidalgo Atoche López Hospital, Chancay, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-30) Caleni Aguero, Jessica Medali; Gamarra Bustillos, CarlosThe objective of this research work is to determine the relationship between the attitude and the application of biosafety standards by the nursing professional in critical areas of the emergency service of the Hidalgo Atoche López hospital.Ítem Acceso abierto Biosafety knowledge and practices in the nursing professional of the emergency service of a public hospital in Lima – 2024(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-03-10) Lahua Melgarejo, Sonia Marlene; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoBiosafety is a very important pillar of quality assurance systems that aim to achieve attitudes and behaviors of healthcare personnel that reduce the risk of infection in the workplace. Methodology was quantitative, hypothetical - deductive, applied, non-experimental, correlational, and cross-sectional. The instruments used were from Maza (18) and contain two questionnaires, one for the occupational risk variable and the other for biosafety measures. The SPSS v-25 was used and with this tool the analysis of the dimensions of the variables, occupational risk and biosafety measures was carried out. The results reveal that in the contingency analysis (cross tables), in the biosafety measures variable, the low level predominates in 42.4%, with 36 respondents who are located at this level and in terms of the occupational risk variable, also the low level predominates with 37.6% in 32 respondents. The biosafety dimension is significantly related to the occupational risk variable with a significance value p=0.000, the handwashing dimension is significantly related to the occupational risk variable with a significance value p=0.000, the personal protection dimension is significantly related to the occupational risk variable with a value of significance p=0.000. In conclusion, there is a statistically significant relationship between biosafety measures and occupational risk in the nursing staff of a national hospital in Lima, in the year 2022. Spearman's Rho = 0.850 and p= 0.000.Ítem Acceso abierto Biosafety measures and occupational risks in nursing professionals at the surgical center, Hipólito Unanue hospital 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-09-17) De Los Santos Tucto, Wendy Cindy; Fernández Rengifo, Werther FernandoObjective: To determine the relationship between self-compliance with biosafety measures and the perception of occupational risks in nursing professionals.
