Objetivo: Determinar las complicaciones del soporte nutricional enteral en recién nacidos prematuros. Investigación básica, transversal, hipotético deductivo, cuantitativo. La muestra: 169 y el instrumento: lista de recolección de datos. Resultados: El 50,3% fueron masculino y el 49,7% femenino. El 58% pesaban de 2500 g a más, el 39,1% de Bajo peso (1500 - 2499 g) El 85,2% tenían de 34 a 36 semanas; el 14,2% tenían 32 a 34 semanas. El 82,8% recibió nutrición mixta, el 13,6% recibieron leche materna y el 3,6% recibieron fórmula infantil. El 100% no presentaron complicaciones mecánicas. El 99,4% no presentaron complicaciones metabólicas. El 100% no presentaron complicaciones infecciosas. El 85,8% no presentaron complicaciones gastrointestinales, 11,2% presentaron diarrea, 2,4% distensión abdominal y el 0,6% nauseas. Conclusiones: El mayor porcentaje fue masculino, pesaban de 2500 g a más; tenían de 34 a 36 semanas y recibieron nutrición mixta. El 100% no tuvieron complicaciones mecánicas ni infecciosas. El 99,4% no tuvieron complicaciones metabólicas. El 85,8% no tuvieron complicaciones gastrointestinales. Nos ayuda a la recuperación y nutrición de los pacientes en estado crítico; ayudándoles a mejorar el aporte calórico, nutricional de la persona hospitalizada. Se quiere lograr a través del estudio: “Cómo el conocimiento sobre la nutrición enteral se relaciona con la práctica del profesional de enfermería en pacientes con ventilación mecánica de un Hospital de Chimbote, 2024” si hay alguna correlación entre las dos variables. Enfoque: cuantitativo, ya que las variables se miden y se puede representar a través de tablas estadísticas, se aplicará método hipotético deductivo, diseño correlacional, corte trasversal y no experimental. 80 enfermeras (os) del servicio de cuidados intensivos adulto de un hospital de Chimbote serán la muestra experimental, se les aplicará dos instrumentos validados correctamente. En la primera variable será evaluado por un cuestionario y para la segunda variable se evaluará por una guía de observación, para el procesamiento y análisis de datos se utilizará el SPSS versión 26 y Microsoft Excel. The present secondary research entitled "Critical Review: Effect of early enteral nutrition in the postoperative period of patients with gastric cancer undergoing oncological surgery", aimed to analyze the effects (clinical outcomes and nutritional aspects) of early enteral nutrition 24 or 48 hours after oncological surgery in patients with gastric cancer. The clinical question was: Does early enteral nutrition improve clinical outcomes and nutritional aspects in patients with gastric cancer undergoing oncological surgery? The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in Scielo, Pubmed, Mdpi, Jboun, Ncbi, Science Direct, Hindawi, thus finding 21 articles, 10 being selected, which were evaluated by the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting the clinical trial titled as: “Effect of Early Enteral Nutrition Support Combined with Chemotherapy on Related Complications and Immune Function of Patients after Radical Gastrectomy”, which has a level of evidence AI and grade of recommendation strong, according to the expertise of the researcher. The objective of this research was to carry out a critical review on whether enteral nutrition through the perioperative immunomodulatory diet will be beneficial in patients with gastric cancer. The Evidence-Based Nutrition (NuBE) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in Science Direct, Pubmed, Springer, 13 articles were selected that have been evaluated by the “Critical Appraisal Skills Program Spain Caspe” tool for critical reading, where finally a systematic review and meta-analysis titled as Impact of Preoperative Immunomodulatory Nutrition in Outcomes of Patients Undergoing Surgery for Gastrointestinal Cancer, a Systematic Review and Meta-analysis, which has a level of evidence A I and a Strong recommendation grade, according to the researcher's expertise. Materials and methods: The present study is quantitative with a Systematic Review, observational and retrospective design. Results: in the final selection, 6 articles were chosen, we found that 33.3% (2) correspond to Brazil, with 16.6% (1) we found the USA, China, Turkey respectively, most of them have been studied clinical trials with 50%, 33.6% experimental and among the systematic review we find Spain with 16.6%(1), of the total articles analyzed, 50% mention that continuous enteral nutrition is not more effective than intermittent enteral nutrition nor vice versa. All of them were analyzed according to the GRADE scale to determine their quality and strength of evidence. Of the 10 articles reviewed and analyzed, 20% (n= 2/10) are systematic reviews, 20% (n= 2/10) are cohort studies, 20% (n= 2/10) are case-control studies, and 40% (n= 4/10) are experimental studies. Results: Of the 10 articles found, 60% (n = 6/10) indicate that early enteral feeding is effective in reducing the incidence of necrotizing enterocolitis in preterm neonates, while 40% (n = 4/10) indicate that early enteral feeding has no effect on the prevention of necrotizing enterocolitis in preterm neonates. Conclusion: Six out of the 10 articles found indicate the effectiveness of early enteral feeding in reducing the incidence of necrotizing enterocolitis in preterm neonates. Material and methods.- The systematic review of the 10 articles, prospective literature was found and the search was consulted in articles with full text. Ten articles were selected, corresponding to a period from 2008 to 2017, from Latin American countries; and among the articles that were included are systematic reviews, using Epistemonikos, Pubmed as a database. Results.- The effectiveness of enteral nutrition versus parenteral nutrition to reduce complications in patients after gastrointestinal surgery, according to the results obtained from the systematic review carried out in the present study, we have 100% due to the type of design (10 /10) systematic reviews and by type of quality, 100% (10/10) are of high quality. Of the 10 studies investigated, 80% (8/10) indicate that enteral nutrition is more effective in patients after gastrointestinal surgery since we observed: Shorter hospital stay time (50%), lower incidence of post-operative infections ( 10%), lower cost-benefit (15%), improves the increase in albumin and the early appearance of flatus (15%), and improves quality of life by reducing dehiscences and anastomoses (10%). Material and Methods: Systematic observational and retrospective review of quantitative type, subject to critical selection, using the Grade evaluation system to establish the degree of evidence, located in the following databases: Scielo, Researchgate, Sciencedirect, Epistemonikos, PubMed. Of the 10 articles systematically reviewed, 40% (n = 4/10) are meta-analyzes, 30% (n = 3/10) are randomized controlled trials, 20% (n = 2/10) are systematic reviews, and 10% (n = 1/10) are systemic reviews with meta-analysis. According to the results of the systematic review carried out in the present study of the countries of China (50%), followed by Brazil (10%), Canada (10%), Russia (10%), Japan (10%) and Switzerland (10%). Results: Thus, of the evidence found, 100% (n = 10/10) indicate that enteral nutrition is more effective in reducing complications than parenteral nutrition in patients with pancreatitis in the emergency area. Materials and Methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review. Population: 35 research studies, with a sample of 10 articles from the databases Elsevier, Scielo, Dialnet, Medline, EBSCO, ScienceDirect, and PubMed. The GRADE system was used to assign quality and strength of recommendation. Results: All systematically reviewed articles indicate the effectiveness of home enteral nutrition in older adults. Of these, 30% were of high quality with strong recommendation strength, and 70% were of low quality with weak recommendation strength. The studies are from Spain (80%), Poland (10%), and the United States (10%). Conclusions: The reviewed studies show that 80% conclude that home enteral nutrition is effective in older adults due to increased use, good tolerance, and cost-effectiveness; it is suitable for neurological conditions and limited physical activity without decreasing BMI; it presents fewer complications. Materials and methods: Observational and retrospective systematic review. Of which 30% are systematic reviews, 40% are cohort studies and a smaller percentage are 30% correlational, cross-sectional and retrospective studies. Results: In the final selection, 10 articles were chosen, 40% (04) correspond to Brazil, 20% correspond to Spain, and (02) correspond to Mexico, while 10% (01) are found in California, and (01) in cuba respectively, of the total number of articles analyzed, 90% affirm that the early start of enteral nutrition in critically ill patients before 48 hours improves intestinal permeability by reducing bacterial translocation, and reduces morbidity and mortality. Pudmed, Scielo, Bvs, Medline (2002 – 2017) were searched for studies comparing gastric and jejunal feeding in critically ill patients. The 10 scientific articles systematically reviewed correspond to China, Australia, Canada, Georgia, London. Results: In the final selection, a sample was chosen from the total of 10 articles systematically reviewed, we found that 60% (n = 6/10) 6 of the articles show that the placement of the nasojejunal tube reduces gastric residual volume and provides better result in nutritional status, meanwhile 40% of the reviewed articles concluded that there is no variation and significance in the use of the nasojejunal or nasogastric tube, both being equal when providing enteral nutritional support. Conclusions: The systematic review of the 10 scientific articles on the effectiveness of enteral nutrition by nasojejunal tube compared to the nasogastric tube in improving indicators of the nutritional status of critically ill patients, 60% (n=06/10) showed that the Enteral nutrition via nasojejunal tube is more effective compared to nasogastric tube in improving indicators (BMI, kcal per day, serum albumin, pre-albumin, transferrin) of the nutritional status of the critically ill patient.Ítem Acceso abierto Enteral feeding and nutritional status of premature newborns in the intensive care unit of a public hospital in Lima – 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-07-09) Arpita Enríquez, Andrea Sthephany; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo AmadoIntroduction: Nutrition in premature newborns is a process of vital importance for the survival, growth and mental development of the infant, therefore the administration and role of the nursing professional are necessary. Objective: To determine the relationship between enteral feeding and the nutritional status of premature newborns in the Intensive Care Unit of a Public Hospital in Lima- 2023. Methods: the study has a hypothetical deductive method, based on a quantitative approach, and the basic type, with a descriptive correlational method and with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The population will be made up of 60 premature infants in intensive care units. For data collection, the instrument prepared by Cabrera "Feeding type registration form" will be used to measure the enteral feeding variables and the Frenton instrument "Growth curves", both instruments with adequate validity and reliability processes to be administered. The collected data will be processed to the SPSS version 24 database to carry out the descriptive analysis in the representation of tables and graphs and the inferential analysis for correlation of the variables with the use of Spearman's coefficient. These results will allow to establish the discussion and conclusions and recommendations.Publicación Acceso abierto Indicaciones más frecuentes del uso de nutrición enteral en pacientes COVID-19 atendidos en un hospital de nivel II Villa El Salvador. Enero–junio 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2025-10-03) Cabrera Palomino, Lucy; Velásquez Acosta, Pablo MáximoEl presente estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar las principales indicaciones para el uso de nutrición enteral en pacientes con COVID 19 atendidos en un hospital de nivel II en Villa El Salvador, entre enero y junio de 2021. Se utilizó una metodología cuantitativa, de tipo no experimental, observacional y retrospectiva. La muestra incluyó a 194 pacientes diagnosticados con COVID-19, seleccionados mediante muestreo aleatorio simple. Los resultados revelaron que la desnutrición proteico-calórica fue la indicación predominante para el uso de nutrición enteral, presente en el 77.3% de los casos. El grupo etario más representado fue el de 51 años o más (45.4%) y el 44.3% de los pacientes tenía ocupación independiente. Además, la mayoría de los pacientes que recibieron nutrición enteral se encontraban en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI) para adultos con COVID-19 (62.4%). En el grupo de 18 a 30 años, el 80% presentó desnutrición proteico-calórica. Respecto a las fórmulas empleadas, se observó una preferencia por las fórmulas isotónicas líquidas con proteínas, utilizadas en el 63.4% de los casos, seguidas por las fórmulas modulares proteicas líquidas (27.8%). The sampling method to be used will be census-based due to the small population size. To measure knowledge, the questionnaire titled "Knowledge about premature enteral nutrition," created by Sea Elizabeth in La Paz, Bolivia, will be used. This questionnaire consists of 20 questions structured into two dimensions. To evaluate nursing practices in enteral nutrition, an observation guide created by the same author, Sea Elizabeth, will be applied. It consists of 27 items structured into three phases: before, during, and after enteral nutrition, developed on a dichotomous scale. Materials and methods: It is a systematic review based on scientific articles used in disciplines in the health area of descriptive, retrospective and systematic description, the population was made up of 20 articles of which 10 articles were chosen, with no older age ten years: Scielo, Pubmed, Elsevier Spanish Journal of Geriatrics and Gerontology. Result: Studies indicate that gastrostomy tubes are effective and provide unique, temporary, fast and safe access. Within 10 pieces of evidence, 100% (n = 10/10) of these studies are from Spain, which represent 40% (40/10), Colombia represents 20% (20/10), Paraguay, Brazil, Germany and Cuba represent 10%. (10/10), Within the 10 scientific articles, we can see that the descriptive retrospective with 50% (5/10), Prospective with 20% (2/10), Systematic review with 20% (2/10) and prospective observation with 10% (1/10). Noviembre 2022 a abril 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-06-12) Cerna Aldave, Magdalena Nohemi; Velásquez Acosta, Pablo MáximoLa nutrición enteral temprana en pacientes críticos en las Unidades de Cuidados intensivos (UCI) aporta los nutrientes necesarios para disminuir la disfunción multiorgánica, el trabajo tiene por objeto determinar en qué medida la nutrición enteral temprana reduce la disfunción multiorgánica en pacientes críticos en la UCI del Hospital Regional Docente de Cajamarca, noviembre 2022 - abril 2023, evaluando 112 historias clínicas de pacientes, obteniendo como resultado el porcentaje de pacientes que ingresaron con disfunción multiorgánica, siendo 21,65% en los cuales no hubo disminución de la función multiorgánica tras 24 horas; tras 48 horas en el 17,53% no hubo disminución de la disfunción multiorgánica; luego de 72 horas en el 16,49% no hubo disminución de la disfunción multiorgánica. Además, en el 28,9% de los pacientes que recibieron nutrición enteral temprana sí se evidenció disminución de la disfunción multiorgánica. La prueba de Chi cuadrado entre nutrición enteral temprana y disfunción multiorgánica fue de p=1,000, siendo mayor a 0,05; concluyendo que la nutrición enteral temprana reduce significativamente la disfunción multiorgánica en pacientes críticos de la unidad de cuidados intensivos del Hospital Regional Docente de Cajamarca, con un valor de p>0.05 aplicando el análisis de chi cuadrado.
